What to expect
You’ll have some amazing photo opportunities at all times, especially as you enter the South Fiord of Lake Te Anau. You’ll dock on the Hidden Lakes wharf and have your nature guide take you for a 15-minute walk into the first of the Hidden Lakes. This is another wonderful place for photos. It’s an easy walk with no hills on the track. It`s a leafy trail, so you’ll want to have comfortable footwear.
Upon return to the Faith you’ll have your afternoon tea and refreshments served, and time to relax and listen to the sounds of nature with the engine turned off.
As you cruise out of the South Fiord your crew will raise the sails if the wind allows, and cruise back to Te Anau with the special feeling of big sails billowing above you. Upon return you’ll be accompanied back down the wharf to shore by your crew. At all times our intent is to be relaxed and allow you the flexibility of choosing to focus on the chapters of the experience which give you the most pleasure. We aim to return at 5pm.

This was a lovely afternoon on an amazing boat. George and Marie were attentive and friendly hosts and the food was delicious. They even put the sails up for us on the way back although this was only for show as there wasn't a breath of wind :-)

What a primo trip we had on Thursday 10 March. Skipper and Crew/Owner were delightful hosts. No stone was left unturned and the degree of customer attention was second to none. This is no ordinary touristy type jaunt. This is an experience touching multiple aspects including hands on steering of Faith. Raising sails. Including the first raising of the Jib. Spectacular A bushwalk with knowledgeable guidance along the way by the Skipper. And an extensive one on one interaction of this interesting boat's history together with a close up tour of the large Gardner Engine below. Capped off with a fabulous afternoon tea and complimented with an adept performance by Adam on the bow with the bagpipes. This trip is a must do for Kiwis wanting to experience something a little different than just a cruise around a lake.Fantastic trip with George and Marie on MY Faith... Dapperly dressed in Naval uniforms they greeted us aboard,safety notices dispensed with it was time for bubbles (delish). A short cruise to Brod beach and wonderful canapes were served. We did the 6pm Cruise and George and Adam were absolute gentlemen from the get go. Dapperly dressed in Naval uniforms they greeted us aboard,safety notices dispensed with it was time for bubbles (delish). A short cruise to Brod beach and wonderful canapes were served. Time to return and sails hoisted. Next multi talented Adam brings out the Bagpipes and serenades us. A fantastic journey highly recommended to all.
