The Gansett Cruises is a must see and visit attraction when vacationing or visiting Newport, Rhode Island. On Tuesday, September 4th, 2018, my wife & I toured on the Gansett cruise ship and we had a wonderful time from beginning to end!!! While riding on our Gansett cruise ship, we got the chance to view and travel on the beautiful Narragansett Bay, learned and came across many wonderful places of interest such as several Gilded Age Mansions, the location that hosted the wedding reception of JFK and his wife Jackie Kennedy and various historic light towers. Much kudos should be given to our tour guide, John, who not only displayed tremendous knowledge of Newport County, but also cracked quite a number of wisecrack jokes. If you are traveling through Newport, definitely hop on the Gansett cruise. My wife and I had a wonderful time on this tour based attraction and so would you!!!My husband and I both agree that this cruise was worth the money. The staff were very knowledgeable about everything we passed. Free mimosa but you were asked if you wanted more. Clean boat. Left on time. (Sorry, only pic I have)

But go really early to get a place to park in a spot or on the street, so you don't have to pay Chicago parking prices in a lot on the wharf!

What a FABULOUS excursion. Words can't begin to describe how impressed we were with Patrick who narrated our tour. His extensive knowledge, delivered with a keen sense of humor, far exceeded our expectations. In addition to learning so much about the history of Newport, the boat was comfortable while the coffee shake was a delicious and surprising bonus. Whether it's your first visit to Newport or your 50th visit, this is truly a must-do activity. This was a wonderful tour of Newport/ Jamestown on the water. We had an excellent guide and excellent services on board. The boat was plenty big and clean.
