Overview
Take advantage of the long Summer days in Gran Canaria (and enjoy a morning without the alarm clock!) and join us onboard our Afternoon Cruise. Fun, relaxation, stunning scenery, amazing service, sea breeze and sunshine. Afrikat - our award winning, luxurious catamaran cruising the coast of Gran Canaria from Puerto Rico. An all-inclusive boat experience including food , drinks, fun speedboat ride with our Captain, a chance to swim with snorkelling equipment & discounted Watersports. Great for all ages and wheelchair friendly.

You can enjoy adventure and see the amazing island of Gran Canaria from a different perspective – on the sea! Leaving from Puerto Base, Puerto Rico, we cruise along the coastline of the Gran Canaria, enjoying the amazing views and beautiful weather towards a calm crystal clear bay. Here we anchor - enjoy a swim in the refreshing water and try snorkelling – we recommend that you bring your own equipment whenever possible. Craving fun, speed or adventure? – then try the donut ride or Jet-ski or experience parasailing – all water sports at a special discounted rate. You can also take a fun journey with the Captain in our speedboat. Our crew serve a delicious meal for you. Throughout your time with us on board, there is a choice of Sangria, beer, soft drinks, juice or water available.

We didn’t do any water sports as we were just happy to relax and swim in the bay. We went on the included speed boat ride and Potter was so knowledgable of the coastline and took us to some beautiful spots. Boat was immaculately clean and spacious, cruising back in the sun with a lovely saxophonist was fabulous. Couldn’t recommend enough and would 100% do it again if visiting Gran Canaria again. I would not be exaggerating by saying this trip was the highlight of our holiday. So glad we did it. All inclusive dinks (soft, sangria and beer) with the beer tap accessible so you could just help yourself. A lovely trip along the coast before stopping in a sheltered bay where you could have a swim, relax on board or do a host of water sport activities. These were at an additional cost but were not overpriced and the staff were not pushy. If you didn’t want to do them and just relax - no problem! We did parasailing and donut ride which was so much fun - as was the speed boat trip which was included in the price! Food was lovely - make sure you try the mojo sauce!! The staff were all really friendly, especially the host of the trip Potter. Knowledgeable, funny and clearly cared deeply for providing a great experience for all guests! The real highlight was Ashleigh playing the saxophone on our return. During sunset, it really was very very special! I’d certainly recommend booking a trip when she is on board! All in all, a fantastic afternoon - thank you to the Afrikat team! Can’t wait to come again next time we are in Gran Canaria!JosephO30

A fabulous afternoon on the Afrikat 69. Started with a warm welcome from the shore staff and the onboard crew kept this up and did not let us down (shout out to the crew leader, Potter, who is fantastic, comical and made the afternoon even better!) A relaxing cruise around the south east corner of Gran Canaria (drinks and a late lunch / early dinner are included). Stopping for a while at a gorgeous remote bay with lovely views, you have the opportunity to relax, swim in the Atlantic or take up the option (additional cost) for water activities. The journey back to Puerto Rico was made extra special by the onboard saxophonist Ashleigh. Popular tunes with 5* saxophone accompanist, with the sun setting behind made a perfect end to the afternoon. Do note that the boat has indoor seating and outdoors, however seating with a back (chair style) is limited outside - outside there are plentiful padded floor loungers however. While the boat is fully accessible, do get in touch beforehand if you’d like an outside chair style seat. I’m sure the lovely Afrikat team will accommodate you perfectly. If you’re after a lovely afternoon, that little extra with Afrikat is a good investment over the the other options available for a boat trip from Puerto Rico! Our top recommendation is to select an Afrikat cruise that includes the saxophonist - she is perfect! Thank you once again and we look forward to joining you when next in Gran Canaria!BelindaL_D

The staff was amazing really happy with them.The food was really nasty and the drinks were budget drinks. The free boat ride is a bargain.But the price should be only 30 euros. They need to do a buffett of Spanish food.thanks
