Our fabulous guide Andres had great local knowledge and gave us a good insight not only on the country's history but on current affairs as well. I highly recommend the walking tours as it is a great way to see the city. It was very interesting to use public transport. We were staying in Buenos Aires for 6 days and we had the walking tours on our first and second day which was great as it was a good introduction to the city and we were more confident in navigating the city on our own afterwards. Cultura Cercana are great! So professional, so easy to deal with and so very accomodating. I can't praise them enough! You won't be disappointed. We visited traditional areas of Buenos Aires ( downtown, soccer stadium, etc) but also neat areas like the Boca and areas around the port. Ethel and her driver were punctual, informative, and fun to be with during our tour. Lunch was great and she made sure we arrived at the airport in time for our flight home. I would recommend this tour to anyone heading off a cruise ship that has a late flight back home.We booked this one day tour in Buenos Aires with Cultura Cercana during a cruise. We booked this one day tour in Buenos Aires with Cultura Cercana during a cruise. My wife and I have visited well over 100 countries and have hired private guides all over the world. We learned long ago that with private tours you get what you pay for and have used Cultura in a number of Argentina, Uruguay and Chilean cities and they never disappointed us with the guides they provide. Our guide in Buenos Aires was one of the best guides we’ve every had anywhere. His name was Rosty (Rostyslav Shkiro). His English was perfect, his cultural and historical knowledge of Buenos Aires was exceptional (he has 3 Masters Degrees) and his personality infectious. Rosty toured with us and a driver was also included because it is difficult to park near many of the sites in BA. Rosty also took us to a great local neighborhood restaurant for lunch (not included in the fee). When you book you will probably be dealing with Sofia at Cultura and she is tremendous. She was on top of everything, answered communications rapidly and gave us great advice about wonderful restaurants in BA.What a fabulous way to see Buenos Aires! We were a group of seven people and blessed to have Rusty as our guide. He went out of his way to ensure we learned so much about Buenos Aires. Best guide ever! Thank you Cultura.

We just completed a full-day tour of Buenos Aires and are eager to share our impressions of this excellent tour. Out guide was Rosty and our driver was Daniele. Both were excellent, in EVERY way! Rosty is a teacher by profession and, although not a native of Argentina, demonstrates his love for the country, for BA, and for the rich heritage of both. This, combined with his mastery of English, made for a unique and special experience. As he put it, "Argentina is my country". There was no aspect of the tour, among the many "neighborhoods" we visited, that was lacking. In each section of the city, Rosty explained not only what we were seeing, but gave a historical perspective that greatly added to our understanding and appreciation of this marvelous city. Truly, BA is the "Paris of the Americas". Additionally, we took Rosty's recommendation for our mid-afternoon meal. It was at a historic "bar", one of the oldest in BA, but one that is frequented almost exclusively by locals. Our meal was reasonably priced and was superb! Lastly, because of this experience with Cultura, we would not hesitate to reserve with them on future trips to South America. We had previously booked tours through Princess on this last cruise, and were satisfied. However, a 'private' tour, such as with Cultura, was much more satisfying. I'm not sure if Cultura provides tours in Brasil, but I would be eager to go with them in Rio, when we return to South America again. Thank you Rosty & Daniele (and also Sofia, who was our contact during the booking process)... it was perfect in every way! Robert & Cindy.
