The service was incredible from start to finish. The tour was great and we had the chance to see 50+ elephants all together in a small section of this vast park which was mindblowing. Lots of hippos, crocs, baboons etc

While the first part of our day went well, during the 2nd half of our tour, we went to Chobe National Park. The weather changed from sun to rain (this is expected during this time of the year). Raincoats were provided by the tour, but there was no type of side covers on the vehicle. We saw other vehicles in the park as we were leaving which had those, and would have protected me (in the first row of the vehicle) from being pelted with rain and winds. We drove back from the Park to the Zimbabwe border on public roads at speeds in excess of 40 mph. I was hunched over with the raincoat over my head to protect my face/holding onto the sleeves to reduce being soaked for about an hour. I questioned the driver several times about the side shields. He said he has mentioned it to the tour owner previously on several occasions, but they have done nothing about it. Viator arranged this booking with this tour co (Cuckoo Safari) and refused to address our concerns, instead listening to lies that the tour company spouted. DO. NOT USE VIATOR or CUCKOO SAFARI for this excursion. There are other companies who provide this same service.Because I was having issues with my back prior to this tour, I booked a private tour of Chobe National park. Because I was having issues with my back prior to this tour, I booked a private tour of Chobe National park. Game drives are typically on very rough unpaved roads. As a PRIVATE tour (only your group participates as advertised in the description) I could end the tour at any time if my back was giving me problems. After included lunch, midway through the tour, they added two people to our private tour. I said to the driver this is a private tour. As we were in another country (Botswana) over an hour away from our hotel in Zimbabwe, we didn't exactly have much choice but to go along. Adding someone else to our private tour not only ruined our experience for my wife and I , but took away any choice that we had that day. The tour operator and Viator both refused to even give me back the cost difference between a private tour and a group tour, because "I accepted the terms" and completed the tour. Wait What? We had no choice if we didn't want to get stranded? Don't trust Viator to help you if something goes wrong with your tour operator. They were useless! Our tour was just great, such an amazing experience. Our tour was just great, such an amazing experience. The organization and communication with Cuckoo Safaris were excellent, we've been helped with payments, visa, then met strictly on time. Everything went smoothly. Chobe park is a gem, it was our first safari and we've immediately seen 3 out of African Big Five, as well as numerous crocos, hippos, and even giraffes, and many more. Our guides were also amazing, very helpful and patient, told us everything about nature and did their best to show us the wild life. Overall me and my partner are very grateful to Cuckoo Safaris for such an amazing experience and highly recommend their services. Thank you!
