Like all travelers we thought the main port of Santos was merely a stepping stone to Sao Paulo - but so many people told us why spend 1.5-2 hours each way to go to a big city and instead stay in Santos - We were so lucky we did just that - Gregtur offered a full fun and educational day in Santos - a city that should get far more attention as a tourism attraction ! - one of the longest beach parks anywhere - a nice funicular ride to a panorama view of the city and the original casino of the region - we traveled to a wonderful pastry stop and more panorama views - our guide was enthusiastic and passionate about her love for this city - a highlight was the Santos soccer stadium - normally we would have gone the Pele museum but it was closed and we more than enjoyed touring the Santos soccer museum and seeing the field and stadium - After a great lunch we continued the city tour and finished at the coffee museum with much more time to spend reviewing the exhibits compared to other tour groups that went there - our guide explained the museum in detail and it was the end of a very enjoyable day Gregtur company did a great job on this shore excursion for us and we highly recommend that you avoid Sao Paulo and take this tour of Santos -Highly recommend this tour. Our guide was very well informed (an actual historian) and spoke fluent English. Took very good care of us and made sure we had a wonderful time. Do not hesitate booking with this company.
