The whole experience was great. The staff was very helpful and friendly. Our tour guide Alex took good care of us, created friendly atmosphere for the entire group of strangers who at the end of the day sat together to share a meal at the last stop. By the way do not believe the note that you need to bring your food with you. The last island has a lovely restaurant and you can book your table in advance with the tour company. The food was excellent and not pricey. This trip was a fantastic day out of Faro with interesting stops on beautiful islands. The boat itself is comfortable and safe. I recommend this attraction.Highly recommended trip with very comfortable seats in the boat! Alex is a very helpful and cheerful guide. He was born on one of the islands and know a lot about its history. He speaks Portugese, English and Italian.

Thoroughly enjoyed this 5 or so hour boat trip to visit the islands of the Ria Formosa Natural Park. We were lucky enough to have Alex as our guide. Not only was he friendly, professional and knowledgable, but it was treat to have someone local to the islands to guide us. There were 2 trips that went out today. One for English speakers and other for French speakers. But Alex also accommodated our Italian guests by switching to Italian too. It was the perfect time to visit these beautiful islands with their sandy beaches and turquoise waters before the masses arrive. Youd be forgiven for thinking you were in the Caribbean. We enjoyed walking around the islands and learning about the history and the various communities. We'd chosen to ask the company to book for lunch. This is strongly advised in peak season, but we felt that they'd make a good recommendation anyway so went for it. We weren't disappointed. Lunch exceeded our expectations. As a local to the island, Alex looked after us very well. He gave us great recommendations as to what to eat. We were very pleased with our 2 course lunch including only the freshest local fish with coffee and ample covers and wine at Cafe Restaurante O Janoca. All for under €50 for 2. I'd not hesitate to recommend this tour and Alex as a guide. It was great value and a wonderful day out.
