Board the 6-passenger airboat where your licensed USCG captain is awaiting your arrival. Each captain is a native of the area and will entertain you on this 1 hour 40 minute airboat adventure. The trip is part ride and part tour, where your captain stops to talk about the wildlife and flora of the swamps. You will get close to gators during the warmer days of the year. Yes, gators do hibernate, but in warmer days of the winter they will often be caught sunning themselves on the bank. Each trip is different and unique; you never know what you will view along the way. During the trip, the captain will supply the group with Champagne and flutes for the group to celebrate their experience. As the captain returns to the swamp tour dock, you will get 15 minutes to stretch your legs, use the restroom and visit the gift shop. Your driver will be at the dock awaiting your return back to your original pickup location.

Any movie or TV show you've seen about "The Bayou" depicts folks gliding through the swamp on these HIGH SPEED Air boats. We were a group of 16 on a private boat that included back and forth private shuttle from downtown NOLA and everyone had a blast - even the two that started off a little skittish once the boat really got moving. It's very loud but they give you protective headphones which roughly half of us used. And it is very fast but totally stable, even when taking a fun turn at high speed. You won't get wet, at least not more than a spray. Our tour guide Matt was really nice, funny, and knowledgable. Taught us a lot about the area and alligators - I love that he focused a decent amount of time on climate change impacting this area that he's lived his whole life in - and took us through large areas of water that didn't exist prior to Hurricane Ida in 2021. Very dramatic and real proof of climate changes devastating impact. We saw alligators of all sizes include Matt's baby on board which we all got to hold. The whole trip was wonderful from start to finish. This tour was amazing. Our guide Brad is knowledgeable and friendly. He clearly loves the ecosystem he lives in. There were a few alligators that came right up to the boat to visit. Highly recommend the private tour to get as much time as possible with these beautiful creatures.

We had an amazing experience on our fan-boat tour of the swamps. I had no idea how beautiful the estuaries were until we were cruising along the water. If you have a choice, Captain Ernie is phenomenal. If you want to learn a thing or two about 'gaters, swamp lands, local history, reptiles in general, and science. Despite it being early season, we saw lots of 'gaters, turtles, cranes, and other beautiful wildlife. It was simply amazing. The bus portion from NOLA out to the boats was perfect - fun knowledgeable driver and a comfortable ride. Thanks guys!We took the airboat tour. It was fantastic!
