What to expect
Dip your paddle into Lake Mapourika's glassy waters and set foot upon the ancient soils in the Okarito Kiwi Sanctuary. This is your chance to get up close and personal with South Westland's oldest untouched Jurassic age rainforest.

The hike was also a unique experience and provided a chance to learn about the different native plants. I'd definitely recommend this! The only issue was a couple of organisational issues and lack of communication.Fabulous tour! The guides were helpful, fun and very knowledgeable. We had a perfect day- warm and sunny. I also liked this tour because it wasn’t a huge group. It was easy to hear and stay together as a group.

The kayak trip was lovely but the hike through the forest (short and easily manageable) was the highlight. Fascinating insights to the fauna and flora and a hot chocolate to finish. Highly recommended

Highly recommendedWe were on the 3 hour Classic Katak your. It was well organized and a lot of fun with gorgeous views. I myself would have preferred single kayaks vs tandems. The guides were well informed of wildlife we saw and funny.
