Delvonia, as a local resident, was an absolutely terrific guide on our private tour. She created a perfect blend of sites, experiences and education we were looking for with a guide. We hiked a bit, visited several ruins, learned lots about the various peoples, pictographs and she led us into close contact with the wall canyons to feel the canyon. The place is simply mind blowing and Del helped us experience the magic of it. Many thanks.Elsie, our driver, grew up in the canyon, was very knowledgeable and lots of fun. Elsie, our driver, grew up in the canyon, was very knowledgeable and lots of fun. We toured the canyon in her Hummer, which had no problem with the deep sand on the canyon floor. We were greatly looking forward to visiting Canyon de Chelly & were not disappointed. Our delightful guide Jarvin Yazzie is knowledgeable about its history & people. He is sensitive to what his clients want to learn. As an example, we told him we were interested in plants & he made a special effort to point out & describe the plant life & ecology of the canyon. We highly recommend this 3 hour tour.I had high expectations for my tour of Canyon de Chelly and knew it would be awe-inspiring, but the tour exceeded my expectations. I had high expectations for my tour of Canyon de Chelly and knew it would be awe-inspiring, but the tour exceeded my expectations. The tour guide, Frank, framed the history of the Canyon from an historical frame leading to a current frame and from a broad historical frame to a personal familial one, so that I could understand the Canyon and it’s people from different perspectives. The tour guide was professional (in his demeanor and thankfully also his expert driving) with a great sense of humor, as well as his great sense of history. The archeological sites in the canyon are nothing short of stunning. I can’t recommend this tour enough.
