Our captain serves as a tour guide who may point out landmarks, celebrity homes, or share their own personal stories from the lake. Bring your own drinks—alcoholic beverages welcome—and a camera to capture photos of the lakeside grotto known as Little Venice. Make sure and pack your swimsuit to enjoy the cool waters of Lake Austin along one of the many sandy beaches, or pop into party cove to see what the hype is all about!
The Lake Austin cruise takes off from the Loop 360 Boat Ramp located below the southern end of Pennybacker Bridge over Lake Austin. This three-acre park is primarily used for lake access, but offers a grassy area for picnicking. A few bald cypress and sycamore trees grow along the water's edge.

We had the best experience with Float On rentals on Lake Austin. Split the boat with a few of our best friends and brought the kiddos out for a fun afternoon on the water. Communication from the team was great, they were super professional and everyone had a blast. Captain had a Yeti with water...
We had the best experience with Float On rentals on Lake Austin. Split the boat with a few of our best friends and brought the kiddos out for a fun afternoon on the water. Communication from the team was great, they were super professional and everyone had a blast. Captain had a Yeti with waters, and we brought a cooler with a few adult bevs. After we cruised around checking out the amazing houses, the captain pulled up to a cool area that had a sand bar and the kids played on the Lilly pad, and swam to the sand shore for fun. Such a great experience. Highly recommend David and team.Sassmaster1234

We had a great experience. From booking, parking, to the actual excursion. Our captain was friendly and easy-going. Lake Austin had lots of nice scenic views as well. The boat was nice and big enough for 10 people. The lillypad was fun too. The yeti cooler provided was big enough for everything ...

Our group had a great time with Float On! Captain Alex knew the best spots to swim where it was cooler and less crowded. He also shared fun facts and kept us entertained while we were cruising to and from the swim spot. 10/10 recommend!

Five stars isn't enough for Float On; they deserve more! This is a homegrown, family owned and operated, dog-friendly, weird and wonderful , truly Austin business. If you're looking for an amazing, stress-free, fun-filled day on either lake in Austin, stop looking now, book Float On, and have the time of your life! We had family in from South Dakota, and Float On provided the best Austin experience of their entire trip. This was after 3 tours and a fantastic dinner...and they left the boat saying, I wish we had more days like this instead of all that other stuff! Visiting or living in Austin just isn't complete without an easy-going tour of the lakes, so my recommendation is book day one on Lake Travis and Day 2 on Lake Austin. I know I can't wait to go back! Phil was our captain and he was perfect! We recently took a boat tour to Capri, and Phil surpasses that captain by miles!! He made the experience informative and chill at the same time. He took us to the most beautiful parts of the lake and was open to whatever agenda we had in mind. In the end we just let him decide what was best and he hit the nail on the head. He was so sweet to the kids on board. He was patient and kind to the 6yo when he didn't have to be. He offered us drinks while we were on the lily pad. You just couldn't ask for a better captain or company! The Yeti with ice and water was clutch, so definitely grab that when booking. I loved not having to bring towels, and the koozies are a nice souvenir for guests. I regretted not getting the captains hats for pictures in front of the penny back bridge! Do all the things and enjoy your day with Float On!
