Overview

During the tour of approximately 3 hrs. We will discover together the magic, history and local traditions. We will interpret symbols, signs and buildings that tell us about the most important and outstanding events that the city has suffered, such as floods. We will walk through the underground streets and alleys full of history and legends and at the end we will taste a traditional regional drink.
In this tour, travelers will be able to live an experience like a local, such as tasting a delicious handmade snow, they will know the most famous meeting points such as Plaza San Fernando and Plaza San Roque, a favorite place for artists and bohemians. They will visit Baroque-style temples such as El Templo de Belén y de la Compañía, which tell us about miscegenation and Catholic conversion. Finally, we will finish right in front of the majestic Teatro Juárez in the main garden with a beautiful reflection about this beautiful city.

Our accredited guide will talk here about the marked influence of the Porfirista period as well as the marked Catholic influence and the origins of mining in the region.

Stop At: The Alley Of The Kiss, Patrocinio 58, Zona Centro Zona Centro, Guanajuato 36000 Mexico

Our accredited guide will interpret in a very entertaining way one of the most famous legends of the city, the Legend of the Alley of the Kiss, narrating the story of two lovers separated by the difference in social classes of the colonial era.

In this part of the tour, our guide will introduce the visitor to the magic and mysticism of the local festival, in a very jovial and bohemian atmosphere, surrounded by local bars and restaurants.
Here the visitor will discover landmarks to visit after their tour. You will also learn about the origin of one of the most important Festivals in Mexico, the Cervantino International Festival.

In this part of the tour, the visitor will discover the typical food of Guanajuato, as well as learn about the history and commemoration of the Monument, which is the basis of the local economy.

Stop At: Museo Regional de Guanajuato Alhondiga de Granaditas, Calle Mendizabal 6, Guanajuato 36000 Mexico

This is one of the deepest and most interesting points of the tour, our accredited guide will share the history of the beginning and first battle for the fight for independence of Mexico at the hands of the Spanish, and will encourage visitors to reflect on the origin of the movement as well like open dialogue. Mention will also be made of the importance of Guanajuato as a mining town in the global economic impact of the time.

Our accredited guide will talk about certain historical events in which the great and prestigious Guanajuato artist Diego Rivera was involved, as well as his participation in contemporary Mexican art and in the post-revolutionary educational system.

Stop At: University of Guanajuato, Calle Lascurain de Retana Centro 5, Guanajuato 36003 Mexico

Our accredited Guide will share legends and events that gave rise to the Jesuit education of the city, will share the local traditions of the student body and will interpret the architecture of the site.

Duration: 25 minutes

Stop At: Jardin de la Union & De Sopena, Guanajuato 36000 Mexico

Finally, in this part, we will talk about the social, economic and political impact that Guanajuato has had in the history of the world, we will interpret the architectural heritage, we will also contemplate the cosmopolitan life that surrounds this square. And by way of conclusion, there will be a brief and profound reflection on what has been seen. Once finished, the accredited guide will give tips about the city that will enrich the visit of the city in a different way and will give some recommendations about places to eat and drink according to the interests of the tour participants.
