Our PADI Discover Scuba Diving program will help you make your decision. Whether as a preparation for the Open Water Diver or as a special walk under water, everyone enjoys this activity!
We will introduce you to your diving equipment, basic diving skills and show you the beautiful underwater landscape of Tenerife.

No prior experience needed, we at SCUBANANA take you by the hand and show you what Tenerife has to offer underwater!
Have you always wondered what it’s like to breathe underwater? If you want to try scuba diving without having to do a complete course, then Discover Scuba Diving (or just “try-dive”) is the right activity for you. You’ll see, participating in Discover Scuba Diving was the best decision of your vacation!
To participate in Discover Scuba Diving you have to be at least 10 years old and bring 3h of free-time with you.

My boyfriend and I booked the discover Scuba diver course and it was an amazing experience✨ As a diving newbie, the course fit perfectly well. We directly went into the water by foot and practiced a few general diving techniques. After that little intro I felt extremely secure and wasn’t scared at all. The water around here is super clear and you can actually see many different fishes. We stayed in the water for around 45min. Line, our guide, was very friendly and nice. He also took a few photos in the water. Thanks for this adventure. We can only recommend the course ☀️My 12 year old son did his first dive in this dive center. he loved it. instructor Elias was very patient and professional. The rented equipment is of good quality and in terms of safety it is perfect. Next time we will dive back into them.

We both wanted to say what a fabulous experience we both had at the Scubanana Dive centre. We booked a Try dive and enjoyed the first go so much we booked and went a second time. Zac and Elias both had endless patience and both were excellent teachers making you feel safe and confident in their capable hands. There’s a lot to learn but they both taught it professionally and proficiently. You do the theory first before getting ready and proceeding to the shallows to start your lesson. Slowly and surely they teach you to breathe and how to equalise your ears as you descend under the water. My partner couldn’t relax enough to enable himself to stay under the water so they allowed him to get used to the equipment on the surface. They allow you to proceed at your own pace and encourage you to gradually take the next step. Eventually my partner overcame his anxiety and we both dived to around three metres. The colours of the fish in the crystal clear waters of the bay are breathtaking and they point out all the hidden wonders to you while you are learning. It’s a totally mind blowing experience and once you get used to it very relaxing so I can’t wait to do it again! We both left elated and (despite learning at different rates) wanting to scuba dive again at Scubanana and wondering if this will turn into a long term activity for us. The instructor went through the ABCs of Scuba diving in English and Spanish and even managed to communicate with an Italian beginner who also enjoyed her first dive. The regular discovery dive is wonderful. After practising a few techniques like buoyancy, equalizing your ears, clearing your mask and mouthpiece, we set off and got to see some starfish, coral and all colors of fish. However, the Open Water dive (my second one) is another kettle of fish! I wholeheartedly recommend paying for the Open Water dive. If you go all the way to the diving spot, take the 40-minute introductory course, strap on your wetsuit and gear, you might as well spring for the exhilarating 12-meter dive. That’s where I saw a stingray, a massive school of fish, large eels and stunning colors. I felt safe and valued the moment I walked in. I was greeted by the friendly receptionist Cristina, the upbeat instructor Isaac and the rightful owner of the diving school: resident brown labrador Arya! They made sure that the gear was secure. The wetsuits fit snugly and all the tanks were full before each dive. Scubanana gave me the bug and now I’ve already scheduled my Diving Certification course ( PADI )This was our first time diving and we couldn’t be happier with the experience we had, our instructor Elias was so wonderful and patient with us, taking is through every little step and listening through every silly question we had!
