In winter, called dry season from May to October, when the surface hardens, geometric figures formed by the salt particles agglomerated into polygons appear. In summer, rainy season from November to March, the salt desert is transformed into a giant mirror that blends into the sky of the purest blue you've ever seen before.

Day 1: Uyuni salt flats.

Day 1: (L, D)
Our adventure begins visiting an outdoor museum of ancient and impressive field trains.
Enter the Salar by Colchani where we will see the salt processing and piles of salt, visit the hotel salt, eyes water and continue downtown to visit the Incahuasi Island of volcanic rock and giant cactus and a top that climb it becomes extraordinary viewpoint of the white salt plain.
we go to the island fish and then continue to the Mala Mala Bay, at the opposite end of the Salar to head to Galaxy Cave, an extraordinary place where we can appreciate ancestral burials and petrified cactus.
At night we came to stay overnight at a Basic Hostal de Sal in dormitories.

Day 2 (B, L, D):
To the south are Cañapa gaps, Stinking, Chiarkota, Honda and Ramadita, where large numbers of flamingos can be founded. Other birds, such as geese and Andean gulls accompany the flamingos in these lagoons flanked by snow-capped volcanoes that have a green skirt down (brava straw yareta and thola).
We enter to the deserter sand and pebbles where the landscapes painted very beautiful shades in order to reach the hotel
At night we came to stay overnight at a basic hostel in the red lagoon to watch the sunset in one of the most beautiful landscapes on the planet.

We just returned from a three day tour of the Salt Flats and colored lagoons of Eduardo Avaroa National Park organized by Jose at Joker and it was incredible. Due to the reduced number of tourists, Joker teamed up with another company, Salty Desert, so we would have a full car. Our driver was great, the organization and communication from Jose was perfect, and the experience was unforgettable. The hotel in Uyuni that is also run by Jose, Atipax Boutique Hotel, was clean and comfortable and the rooms were beautiful. The accommodation in the National Park on day 2 are pretty rough, but to be expected when you’re in the middle of nowhere. The salt flats are out of this world and an absolute must see. The trip to the colored lagoons was remarkable as well, but be aware that it is a lot of driving… like 10-12 hours each day.AarenZhou

The tour was amazing and so was our guide Leroy! We visited lots of really great sights and the food was decent. Accommodation was quite cold I would recommend bringing warm clothes and a sleeping bag!

Wir haben mit fünf Personen eine 3 tägige private Tour in die Salt flats und in den National Park gemacht. Wir waren begeistert von der gesamten Organisation und vor allem von dem, was wir dort erleben und erfahren durften. Wir haben sehr viele Hintergrundinformationen bekommen und unser Guide hat auch uns in die Planung mit einbezogen und verschiedene Optionen aufgezeigt. Ein besonderes Erlebnis wird sicherlich unser Lunch in den Salt flats und unser Wein im Sonnenuntergang bleiben. Ich war sehr zufrieden mit der Vorplanung, denn mir wurde schnell auf meine Fragen geantwortet und mit der Umsetzung war ich ebenfalls zufrieden.
