After a speedboat ride from the port of Buenaventura to the Uramba Bahía Málaga National Natural Park, we will arrive at Chucheros Beach.
In this place we will stay for 2 nights and 3 days, and it will be our base camp to go out to do all the activities included in the excursion.

Stop At: Playa Juan de Dios, Bahia Malaga, Buenaventura Colombia
Juan de Dios Beach are located within Bahía Málaga, from this place we will go on the walks programmed in the excursion, each of these beaches have in common their calm and warm waters of spectacular sunsets and golden sands.
From this beach we will take a boat to go to the waterfalls, freshwater pools and natural pools.
Duration: 12 hours
Stop At: Playa Chuchero, Buenaventura, Valle del Cauca, Colombia
Chucheros Beach is located within Bahía Málaga, from this place we will go on the walks programmed in the excursion, each of these beaches have in common their calm and warm waters of spectacular sunsets and golden sands.
From this beach we will take a boat to go to the waterfalls, freshwater pools and natural pools.

Stop At: Cascada La Sierpe, Uramba Malaga Bay Natural National Park, Buenaventura Colombia
We will visit the La Serpent waterfall in Bahía Málaga, for this we will take a boat from Chucheros Beach.
Duration: 6 hours
Stop At: Playa Dorada, Buenaventura, Valle del Cauca, Colombia
We will visit golden beach within Bahía Málaga, for this we will take a boat from Playa Chucheros.

Stop At: Playa de Ladrilleros, Playa de Ladrilleros, Valle del Cauca Department
We will visit Ladrilleros beach, where we will meet local and indigenous artisans.

The entire area is in a conundrum of growth and terrible urban planning. It is sadly, pretty, but filthy. Trash everywhere, pitiful urban infrastructure, and no solutions in the plan. Expect terrible roads, open sewage, no provisions for tourists except very basic unregulated hotels, beaches fill...

The people are very very nice and there is lots of fish to eat. There are some nice swim holes and water falls and some nice beaches away from the towns.liacamille89

This was a truly magical, one-of-a-kind adventure! Andres is so knowledgable and very passionate about what he does. If you're someone who needs a super detailed itinerary and lots of details, this may not be for you, as much of the activities are weather dependent. But if you are up for a great adventure and prepared to go with the flow, trust that you will be in great hands and have a wonderful time. We knew the basics of what we were doing (whales, rivers, etc), but some of the best parts of the trip were lots of little surprises along the way.
