3-Day Quebrada de Humahuaca from Salta
Overview
We’ll explore the multi-colored Quebrada de Humahuaca, famous for its Seven Colored Hill and rich in history from Pre-Inca to colonial times.
The intrepid among you may also want to brave the high altitude 14 Coloured Hill of Hornocal, at 14, 248 ft (4, 344m) above sea level.
We will stroll around the historic town of Humahuaca, much more indigenous in feel than cosmopolitan Salta, and also visit Jujuy's capital city, San Salvador.

Our 7-day tour through northwest Argentina with Nick and Poncho Tours was fantastic. I had been communicating with Nick for a year in planning our trip, and he was quite responsive and communicative the whole time. Nick's wife, Alicia, also helped coordinate some of the planning, and joined us for Easter weekend in Tilcara. Nick is organized, helpful, and allows for options during the trip. His vehicle is new, comfortable, and it worked for driving 7 days in. His knowledge base of the local customs and cultures, as well as the landscape features, is unbeatable, and this helped us to really know what it was that we were seeing as we saw it. We felt comfortable and taken care of by Nick, and knew things would be in order and "as advertised." We appreciate our wonderful experience driving through this very unique and historied part of Argentina. I'm glad I chose Poncho Tours to take us.We took this tour with Rodrigo guiding us in late February just before the coronavirus shut down travel. We took this tour with Rodrigo guiding us in late February just before the coronavirus shut down travel. Having the personal attention of a private tour was great and Rodrigo quickly gauged our interests and modified the tour to meet our interests as we went. We were fortunate being in the region during Carnivale celebrations and to be able to experience the thrill and chaos of the occasion. There were many highlights of an action packed few days but the Hornocal, Salinas Grandes and San Salvador de Jujuy stand out. Rodrigo’s knowledge of the history and culture and personal contacts were excellent and really added to our enjoyment. We can highly recommend this trip and Poncho Tours service from the booking process, airport pickup and arrangements generally were exemplary.Excelente y seguro. Mucha naturaleza y buena comida lugareña. Un lugar para caminatas y buenas fotos .
