Day 1: From the Salar de Uyuni to Tahua

Stop At: Uyuni, Uyuni, Potosi Department
The tour will start at 07:00 AM from your hotel in Uyuni, bus station or we will pick you up at the Joya Andina Airport at 10:00 AM.
You will meet your professional bilingual guide and private driver. You will enjoy a delicious American buffet in one of the most popular cafes in the area.

Stop At: Colchani, Colchani, Potosi Department
The population of Colchani has 580 inhabitants whose economic activities are linked to the extraction of salt, agriculture (real quinoa), crafts and tourism. It is the mandatory stopping point on the way to the majestic Uyuni salt flat, one of the peculiarities of the place is the construction of small houses made of salt bricks and one of its attractions, in addition to the salt factory, are the craft stalls located on the street major.

- Purchase of handicrafts at the zero point of the population of Colchani.
- Visit to the salt processor and the Salt Museum in Colchani. - - View of the first Salt Hotel "Playa Blanca" today known as the main salt museum in the area.

Stop At: Uyuni Salt Flat, Bolivia
Your next stop will be the enchanting Salar de Uyuni, which is the largest salt desert in the world. It has an area of more than 10, 000 square kilometers and is located at 3, 653 meters above sea level in the Bolivian altiplano.
At the southeast end of the Salar de Uyuni, you will visit the salt mounds which come from saline extraction.
This process begins with the delimitation of the place, later the manual shredding is carried out and finally this salt is exposed to the sun to dry in small pyramid shapes.

Stop At: Isla Incahuasi, Salar De Uyuni, Uyuni Bolivia
Our guide will accompany you to Incahuasi Island, characterized by being one of the high altitude islands whose soil is made up of fossils of algae, mollusks and other organisms known as stromatolites. There a vegetation composed of cactaceous plants develops.
It is located in the central part, 74 km from Colchani. It has a steep surface of 24 hectares and the highest point is 40 meters above the salt level.

Stop At: Uyuni Salt Flat, Bolivia
Your visit will be guided by the following cultural heritage of the Salar de Uyuni:
1. Salt Stairway: Designed with the purpose of allowing the taking of photographs with special optical effects. An overwhelming saline ensemble loaded with the most authentic beauty.
2. Dakar Rally Monument and the endless forest of flags: You will observe the flags worldwide, the central symbol of Bolivia, the heart of Latin America.
4. Salt Pyramid: From this point, you will observe the mountains outlined on the horizon, minimized by the distance and by the majesty imposed by the infinite salt plateau.
5. Polygons and Ojos de Sal: In the upper crust of the Salar, you will distinguish the so-called ojos de brine. These are small holes formed by fine, sharp crystals like needles, accompanied by polygonal figures in the immense whiteness of the Salar.

Stop At: Camino al Volcán Tunupa, Cam. al Volcán Tunupa, Coqueza, Bolivia
Your tour will continue to the Thunupa Volcano and its surroundings, with sighting of Andean Flamingos and panoramic views of the Salar de Uyuni.
You will learn the history and myths of this mysterious tourist attraction that, according to the community, there was a time when the mountains walked, talked and had human forms.

You will enjoy a special toast in the middle of the Salar de Uyuni with sandwiches and hot drinks while watching a wonderful sunset, which by nature is painted with surreal colors and landscapes.

Day 2: From Tahua to Ojo de Perdiz

Stop At: Isla del Pescado, Bolivia
Fish Island is another black spot in the middle of the whiteness. It is formed on the remains of a petrified limestone volcano. It has a variety of cactaceans from shrubs with large thorns to large cacti.
Duration: 1 hour

Stop At: San Pedro De Quemes, Bolivia
You will cross the Salar de Uyuni, continuing with the journey to San Pedro de Quemes where you will be able to taste the lunch of the day.

Stop At: Laguna Honda, Bolivia
The Honda and Chiarkota lagoons of the canton of Pelcoya present a spectacular landscape enriched by the abundant wildlife that circulates in the area. They have been recorded within the same species of flora and fauna; among them the flamingos and suris.
Duration: 30 minutes

Stop At: Laguna Hedionda, Uyuni Bolivia
The stinking lagoon is a salty lake located near the Salar de Uyuni. It is most famous for its migratory species of pink and white flamingos. This lake has a high saline content of 80% and an average depth of just under a foot.
Duration: 40 minutes

Stop At: Laguna Canapa, Uyuni Bolivia
Lagoon that presents a yellow color effect in its waters. Access is by vehicle to the site. In the place you can see some species of waterfowl, such as Andean ducks and huallatas.

Stop At: Mirador Volcán Ollagüe, JXRF+GFG, Piedra Grade, Bolivia
One hour from the town of San Juan del Rosario, is the Ollague Volcano viewpoint, a massive stratovolcano of the Andes on the border between Bolivia and northern Chile.
Duration: 30 minutes

Stop At: Salar de Chiguana, Bolivia
You will cross the Salar de Chiguana, another salt formation that borders the Chilean border, surrounded by volcanoes in shades of gray, silver, red and white.

The peculiarity of the site is to have a railway, which goes from the Abaroa Station to Uyuni.

Day 3: From Ojo de Perdiz to Uyuni Bolivia

Stop At: Árbol de Piedra, Bolivia
An isolated volcanic rock formation in the Eduardo Avaroa Andean Fauna National Reserve, has been eroded by sand blown by the wind, it is the symbol of the Siloli desert and the entrance gate of the REA, this natural monument has the shape of a stunted tree about 7m high. The average temperature in winter oscillates between -20°C and -25°.

In the Sol de Mañana region there is intense geothermal and volcanic activity.
This geothermal area of Bolivia is located at an altitude of approximately 4990 masl The "geyser basin" covers approximately 1 km2, it is mainly a collection of clay pots.

This place has a beautiful view of the Laguna Salada and the flamingos that live there.

Stop At: Termas de Polques, Bolivia
It is located to the west of the Laguna Salada at 4300 in the Polques region (Quetena Grande), these are waters that emerge from the rocky subsoil and reach a temperature of 38 to 40 degrees, having a relaxing effect when taking a bath.

Stop At: Desierto Dali, Bolivia
Rocks in the sandy desert and colorful mountains around it make it a surreal place similar to Salvador Dali's paintings, which is why it is well known as "Dalí's dessert".

Stop At: Laguna Verde, Bolivia
Laguna Verde is characterized by having an emerald green color due to the high content of copper and arsenic in the geological formations of the area.
On the shores of this impressive lagoon, enormous black volcanic stones and other rocks emerge from the interior of the earth.

Stop At: Laguna Colorada, Laguna Colorada, Potosi Department
The colors of the Laguna Colorada stand out as soon as you see it. Tinted with red algae and other microorganisms, the water is a deep orange-red hue. In perfect contrast, the salty lagoon is dotted with large white pools caused by the huge deposits of borax on the surface. Combined with rolling mountains and rugged rocky coastlines, Laguna Colorada is a pristine and beautiful wildlife area. This lagoon was declared the first RAMSAR site in Bolivia in June 1990, as it is one of the most important wetlands in the region, the country and the world, it is home to a wide variety of fauna, a rare breed of flamingos has also flocked to the area for centuries.

Stop At: San Cristóbal, Bolivia
San Cristóbal is one of the most important historical mining centers in the region. It dates from the colonial era and has workers whose ancestors also based their existence on it.

Stop At: Uyuni, Uyuni, Potosi Department
Finally at approximately 6:30 PM, you will return to Uyuni, our team will be in charge of taking you to your hotel in the City or making the transfer out to the Joya Andina Airport and/or Uyuni bus station.
