The community staff were fantastic guides... no vehicles and no fancy lodges, just the natural surroundings of the bush. Would recommend to anyone looking for a truly wild experience.

A group of 6 of us went on the 3-day overnight Mokoro trip in July 2023. We were greeted at the office in Maun by really friendly staff before Kemy told us all about what we would do on the trip. We then were taken in vehicles to the Mokoros where we met with the local delta people who were to be our guides for the three days. We went out in the mokoros with a crew of about 10-15 people plus the six of us. This included two chefs, three guides for our mokoros, and then several other mokoros which carried all of our gear. We were given the most amazing food, the tents were spacious and comfortable, and the views were unbelievable. Over the three days, we hardly had to lift a finger as our guides were so helpful. We went on a number of amazing nature walks, seeing elephants, giraffes, zebras, hippos, buffalo, to name a few. Not only that but our guides gave us ample information on every question we had as we went. Other activities included trips in the mokoro amongst hippos and crocodiles, swimming in the delta (completely safe), and eating the best food we’ve ever had. I cannot recommend Mosu safari tours enough. They were efficient, friendly, safe, and are the best value for money that you will find. As a group of six Irish men, we are all in full agreement that this was the highlight of our two month trip in southern-Africa. Thank you to everyone! We went with Mosu on a 3 day/2 night Mokoro safari into the Okovango Delta, and had an amazing experience. We went with Mosu on a 3 day/2 night Mokoro safari into the Okovango Delta, and had an amazing experience. The tour was well organised, communication throughout the lead-up was excellent with very quick replies to any questions, and all the staff we dealt with were friendly, helpful and hard-working. Kemi was always quick off the mark to respond to queries in booking process and about logistics before we went, and it was a nice touch that she visited us at our hotel in night before our trip to answer any queries. I think because we were quite early in the season (end of April), we ended up with just the two of us on the trip, which made us feel very spoilt with our guide, a chef, a second guide and another assistant taking us on the trip. All of them were lovely, and made us feel very spoilt. It was really interesting to sit round a fire with them in the evening under the starlight, with hippos bellowing nearby, and hear about their villages, experiences and culture.Totally recommend this 3 day mokoro camping safari. Totally recommend this 3 day mokoro camping safari. There was just the two of us and we loved it. Tony and Kemy from Mosu Safari Tours briefed us on what to expect the day before we went in, and on the trip itself we were superbly looked after by Joe (Mosu staff member) and well fed by George (our cook). We also very much enjoyed the company, and helpful support provided by our mokoro polers, and Emanuel, our knowledgeable guide and tracker on the game walks. We really liked the fact that the mokoro polers and the nature guide were drawn from local villages on the edge of the delta and that these communities were benefiting as a result - eco-tourism as it should be. We also found it rewarding to be fully immersed in the environment and interacting with game animals on foot (as opposed to the more contrived and slightly voyeuristic norm of driving around and observing game from the comfort and protection of a vehicle). Whilst this undoubtedly induced higher adrenalin levels at times (coming as we do from a country with no dangerous wild animals) we never felt the least bit unsafe.
