2 Hour Vineyard Trail Ride
Overview
The trail will take you through orchards, along the Eerste River, across vineyards and up into the hills. The scenery is simply magnificent!
We do not mix groups, so you will not be held back or put under pressure from other guests. Everyone gets exactly the ride they want, be that a gentle walk through vineyards, or a fast paced canter down a farm track.
Your guide will be a local guide, with vast knowledge of South-African culture, the local area and natural horsemanship.
Our horses are absolutely the heart of our business. We work with them through connection and natural horsemanship which means they are well trained, and gentle natured. We never ride the same trail twice, so expect a wonderful ride!

Visitors to the Big Cat sanctuary will be able to see Lion, White Lion, Tigers, Cheetahs and various other large cats.

Vredenheim is one of the most well established wineries in the area. The gardens are absolutely spectacular. You can do a wine-tasting, have some lunch, visit the Big Cat sanctuary, do a game drive, as well as come for a horse ride.

My husband and I went on a ride with Louise and her delightful horses, and I could not be more pleased with the experience! she made both of us feel very comfortable and at home, and took us on a route that best displayed the blooming wildflowers. So gorgeous! She took several pictures for us, and knew a ton about the local wildlife and vegetation. She also had a few stellar recommendations for local things to do, eat, and drink... It's obvious Louise loves her job & her horses too. A beautiful experience in the hands of an experienced horsewoman!

I was lucky enough to be the only one on the tour with Tequila (horse) and one of the owners (Rudi?) that day, so I had plenty of opportunities to ask questions and learn about the quite unpleasant past of the horses as well as about the steps taken to rescue them. One could clearly see that the present owners care about the horses and their wellbeing.
