Itinerary
Day 1: Canyonlands
Stop At: Canyonlands National Park, Canyonlands National Park, Utah
Pickup in Salt Lake City or nearby area and a 3 hour scenic drive will take you to the beautiful Canyonlands National Park where landmark options may include canyon overlooks, the famous Mesa Arch, Shafer Switchbacks.
Duration: 4 hours
Stop At: Moab, Moab, Utah
Options for the remainder of the day may include road side stops to additional sites of interest to guests or additional hikes or scenic drives.
Duration: 3 hours
Pass By: Corona Arch, Potash Road, Moab, UT
Corona Arch is a natural sandstone arch near Moab. The arch is located within the same rock formation as Pinto Arch and Bowtie Arch.

Day 2: Arches
Stop At: Arches National Park, Arches National Park, Utah

Such an incredible experience! Our tour guide Amber was knowledgeable, enthusiastic, and hospitable! Our trip was full of fun, adventure, history, and very personalized! Great company, food, comfort and travel! I would absolutely recommend this trip to anyone looking for a great time in Moab!

My husband and I were so impressed with this trip. Neil our guide was professional, knowledgeable, and just a really nice guy. The food was excellent. A trip we will never forget.

Our trip with Neil was an all around incredible experience! We had so much fun touring Arches and Canyonlands national parks with him! I really appreciated his flexibility and willingness to make accommodations for my grandma, and still finding activities she could participate in. In addition to the main parks attractions, we went off-roading, saw dinosaur tracks and fossils, viewed petroglyphs, and also visited an abandoned uranium mine! Neil is interested in your hobbies and interests, so if there is something you want to do or see on your tour with him all you have to do is ask! I appreciate how friendly and personable Neil is and my family left the tour with a new friend. We had great conversation and that really added to the experience - it truly felt like we got to know him in the 3 short days we had with him. He had many stories and interesting facts about the park to share! The service provided on the tour was also exceptional. Never once were we missing something as Neil was always prepared with food, beverage, and sunscreen when we needed it. Our lunches were very tasty and not something you'd think you could have in the Moab desert! One day we had steak kabobs with vegetables and potato salad on the side and the other we had a meat and potatoes dish with fruit. Neil was also accommodating with food allergies and was able to provide substitutions when needed. Neil's vehicle is also extremely comfortable and has all the bells and whistles you could ask for. He was prepared for everything! He is also a very good driver and was a pro at navigating the off-road trails we went on. Something I very much appreciated is that we were also able to complete the tours at our own pace. Neil let us make our schedule so we left/returned to the hotel at the time of our choosing and were also able spend a little longer at some of the gorgeous views on the tours. We were not rushed and could enjoy our vacation in such a relaxing way. Thank you, 'Uncle' Neil, for making this an unforgettable family vacation with my grandma and sister. :) I would recommend your tour to anyone who is looking to visit the parks in comfort and style.robertbT7206HN

Touring Utah’s National and State Parks with Desert Solitude was like visiting them with an extremely knowledgeable life-long friend. Our guide, Neil Petersen, always put our comfort and desires above any preconceived agenda or schedule. He patiently answered any and all questions we had, explained our options regarding hikes, visits to overviews, and literally went out of the way (think unpaved off-road canyons) to provide our small 6-person group with views and experiences we would have never otherwise encountered. Additionally, Neil is an excellent photographer and provided us with some professional-quality photos of the various couples on the trip that we could not have created (or even envisioned) on our own. In addition to visiting Canyonlands, Arches, Capital Reef and Bryce Canyon, we were also able to experience Goblin Valley State Park and some overlooks in the Escalante National Monument. As if that wasn’t enough, when we arrived back in Salt Lake City a bit earlier than anticipated, Neil asked if we wanted a tour of some of SLC’s more popular sights.
