It is a great way to start discovering the city! Drawing connections through stories and facts about the city between history of the place and its current state was a tranforming experience for me. Our guide Hannah made the tour special thanks to her unique style of telling things and really made a difference in my impression of the city. Highly recommended to have the tour on the first day of your visit especially, so that you can attend additional tours depending on your interests and availability to enrich your experience or make your plans for the rest of your time in the city according to the recommendations of your guide and the topics that you discover on the course of the tour. The Guide Marcel was really Nice and did his Job really really Well. I liked the walking tour of Berlin and was happy to get a lot of information which I never knew before. It was my 2nd day in the city, the tour helped me to know many places.

The talk & walk was so informative, well-paced, fascinating, intriguing, troubling (in a good way) and thought-provoking. Don't hesitate, just book & go - you're in good hands with Sandemans! I generally don’t do walking tours, or I last about 5 minutes and have to leave because the guides try to be funny and that annoys me. The history of Berlin is not remotely funny. I soon realised that if I walked the city by myself, I was going to miss out on a lot of insight and stories. My tour was hosted by Ernestina. I hit the jackpot! Passionate, animated, knowledgeable. She is your ‘drop the mike’ guide. I was so impressed with her tour, that I booked to do another one that same afternoon and went to Sachsenhausen Concentration Camp with her two days later. Ernestina is totally invested in her subject and cares deeply about informing us of the rich and often ugly history of the region.
