She explained the history of San Miguel Allende very thoroughly and was open to answering any of our questions. She also provided us with more things to do in San Miguel and recommended some exquisite restaurants with roof tops.

This was a *great* way to introduce the city to us on our very first day. Maramir was an extraordinarily knowledgeable guide who gave succinct, accessible and interesting short lessons about a variety of historically and culturally important spots, emphasizing details like the history of prominent families, the significance of architectural details, local customs and favorites. It was a bonus that our guide is from the region herself. She was ready to alter our route according to the participants' interests, and went out of her way to offer suggestions for best rooftop views, restaurants with vegetarian and vegan options, good places to shop, where to find ATMs and pharmacies. Really, we would not have had such a good experience of a week in San Miguel de Allende without her expert guidance to begin with.
