Stop At: Adrift Adventures, 378 N Main St, Moab, UT 84532-2345
The tour itself begins in Moab where you’ll meet your professional guide, and receive an intro safety briefing to be fit with lifejacket and gear. From here, hop in the van to the ride to the put-in on a scenic section of the river, where your guide will offer additional instruction about riding inside of the raft. Once you’re ready, push off from the sandy bank and prepare to splash through the canyon.
Duration: 15 minutes
Stop At: Westwater Canyon, Utah 84515, USA
On this adventurous whitewater rafting trip, there’s the chance you could see petroglyphs carved in the rocks from the area’s original inhabitants, or old mining cabins, graves, and caves that date to the old Wild West. As you pass an old-growth Cottonwood tree, look up towards the sky to look for bald eagles and they soar and coast on the breeze, and keep an eye out for otters and beavers as they splash and swim in the eddies. You’ll splash through 12 different Class III and IV rapids. Your guide will be rowing the raft with oars, so you can just hang on for the ride, absorbing the desert scenery as you splash your way down the canyon. In the middle of the day, your guide will paddle to a sandy riverbank in a calmer section of water, where you’ll enjoy a filling buffet lunch and can take a refreshing dip. From here, continue splashing your way downstream and listening to your echoes in the canyon, before leaving the Colorado River behind for the comfortable drive back to Moab.
Duration: 7 hours

Had a great experience with Adrift from Carrie on the initial phone call to our rafting guide, Tyler, and his great sense of humor and knowledge on the river. It was a beautiful & safe experience. I left my van in the parking lot to explore Moab and came back to a cup on the windshield with a nice note on it! That was an added plus that I wasn't expecting. I would highly recommend Adrift. They make you feel like part of their family!I’d suggest Westwater canyon to anyone looking for an adventure it had rained the day before so the river was running fast it was a blast. Rose was a master rower and made us all feel safe. She was very knowledgeable about the scenery and rapids. Mike she’s a keeper!!

Don’t let the all-business-no-relationship-skills drill sargent owner put you off. Our actual guides (Tyler, Austin, Matt) were awesome. 90-minute ride to starting point means empty your bladder before hopping in that van! Great riverside lunch, lots of laughs, huge water excitement all set in a glorious, pristine canyon made for a phenomenal day. Dress to get wet head to toe and to jump overboard for an optional swim through the gentler rapids. Bring dry clothes to leave on the van and change into for the van ride back to HQ - where the drill sargent will once again take the fun out of it for everyone. Ten minutes of him can’t compare to the wonderful guides and blast of Mother Nature.our guide, Matt, was very professional. His experience showed, and was very entertaining !! This trip was with my wife and youngest daughter.. we loved it so much that we are coming back next year and will definitely look for Matt !!
