I had such an amazing time spending my day doing this tour. This was one of the highlights of my vacation as I was hoping to see the lava from Kilauea. It turned out to be an amazing opportunity to see and hear the lava from the volcano! The dinner provided was delicious as well. Our tour guide, Christopher, had so much knowledge about the culture of the Hawaiian Islands. Next time I'll be sure to get more baked good from the Punalu'u bake shop. The strawberry filled malasadas were delicious! I also have new knowledge on the cultivation of coffee farms. - Daniel from TxGreat tour experience. Our trip was from 12pm to 1130pm. This experience is not for elderly or children who can not sit for long periods of time or walk 1-2 miles in the dark, on what usually is slippery terrain. We had an amazing time. We had a great tour guide named Derek. He was very personable and sweet. We were able to venmo him a tip. Gratuities are not included. Be sure to tip your guide and the restaurant you eat at. The picnic lunch at The coffee farm was wonderful. The dinner was delicious. And we saw lava and the starry sky at 6000ft. Bring long pants for the evening…and a light jacket. They do provide you a jacket though. The shuttle bus follows us everywhere so you can bring a small bag with change of clothes or any other items to leave on the bus. There are also snacks and water/drinks throughout the trip. We had a great time. Long travel back to hotel at the end of the day, but we all were sleeping, so it was no big deal. Thank you Derek!Excellent trip, well planned and saved me from having to drive. It's a long trip and the guide was knowledgeable and courteous
