Blue Hole, "Island Gully", "Hidden falls", "Secret Falls, are some of the names given to this hidden treasure which is nestled in the hills of the White River Valley. This tour is designed for the young and the young at heart. You will begin your journey with a scenic drive up the hills through the rainforest and the amazingly beautiful landscape, as you make your way to Island Gully/Blue Hole which remains in its pristine condition. At this hidden attraction you can take a swim in one or more of the blue pools, or jump off the waterfalls, or just take a swing on a Tarzan rope.

My fiancé and I were porting at Falmouth on RC. I searched for things to do on the internet and came across Marvyn’s Paradise Tours. All the reviews were excellent for the Blue Hole excursion. I contacted Marvyn’s directly and received fast response from Sana (Marvyn’s wife) who arranged for our personal pickup from Falmouth with our driver/guide Kenneth. On the drive to Blue Hole Kenneth gave us some history of Jamaica and we made a quick stop at St Ann’s bay where Columbus landed. Kenneth was a great driver and made us feel safe and comfortable throughout our trip. We were able to leave our valuables in the van at the Blue Hole and Kenneth made sure all was secure while we were gone! I also think he got us hooked up with the best guide at the Blue Hole as well! It was much more personal as we were not in such a big group compared to many others at the blue hole. I have to think this was a result of booking with Marvyn’s! It was a great day experiencing the natural beauty of the Blue Hole. After Blue Hole Kenneth took us for lunch at a spot on the beach where we were able to sample some jerk chicken with a red stripe! While at lunch Marvyn himself called to make sure we were having a good time. A great touch and experience all around! I definitely recommend Marvyn’s. We took a chance on booking outside of what Royal Caribbean offered for excursions in Jamaica AND SO THANKFUL WE DID! First of all...emailing back and forth with Sana (with Marvyn's Paradise Tours) was such a great experience because they were so nice and helpful in setting us up with exactly what we wanted to do. Sean (with Marvyn’s Paradise Tours) took such good care of us. We felt like personal friends right from the start. He was very professional...but so incredibly friendly at the same time. We talked the entire time... He was so willing to teach us all about Jamaica. He even made sure at every stop that we were taken care of and not taken advantage of. We felt safe and in fact...in the end...we didn’t want to leave. We will for sure be back, and book with them again!!! We love Jamaica and we were so sad to leave. A big reason was because of Sean (with Marvyn’s) ....but also because of the authenticity of Jamaica. Not over commercialized...but very real and the people are so nice. Thank you Marvyn’s! We were picked up on time for the blue hole excursion. We had an informative, fun, energetic, kind, and knowledgeable tour guide named Shawn. We learned a lot about Jamaica. Our ride to the blue hole was comfortable and educational. Shawn taught us about Jamaican history and showed us sights along the way. The blue hole was so fun! After the Blue Hole we went to a yummy place on the beach for lunch. The beach was beautiful and the Jerk chicken was delicious! Our kids ages 17,14, 12, and 8 list this as their favorite excursion and favorite part of our whole cruise. We felt safe the whole time and loved our time in Jamaica, I would highly recommend this excursion!Lori H

Our VERY favorite day on our cruise started with Sean picking just our family of 3 up at Falmouth Port. We had a blast with him! He is so funny, kind and knowledgeable.We learned so much about the country on our drive. Our trip took us out to the Blue Hole where we were able to climb and jump off cliffs into beautiful blue water then on to a great authentic Jamaican lunch with rum punch at Scotchies with the amazing jerk chicken and pork! HE even made a stop for us to find a good jerk seasoning to bring home. Everyone we came into contact with in Jamaica was warm and friendly and we cannot wait to go back! This was one of the best excursions we have ever done. Our guide Sean was exceptional. He was Fun, knowledgeable, safe, I accidentally left my phone in the van and when he found it he hand delivered it to our ship. You will not be disappointed.

We were picked up from Falmouth Cruise Terminal by Dalton and headed off for a fun day! We first went to Blue Hole which was about an hours drive with local color provided by our friendly driver. We were picked up from Falmouth Cruise Terminal by Dalton and headed off for a fun day! We first went to Blue Hole which was about an hours drive with local color provided by our friendly driver. Once at Blue Hole we did some swimming while dodging raindrops. After that Dalton took us down to a private beach where we had a wonderful jerk chicken lunch. Once the rain cleared up we were able to play in the sand and water. We were the ONLY ones on beach which was fantastic! Our kids (4&9) loved it! Dalton returned us to the port with about 90 minutes to spare before having to get back on ship which gave us plenty of time to shop at the artisan market. Overall a great day and would highly recommend! One thing to be mindful of - the Blue Hole was pretty intense. The river was rushing very strongly on our particular day and the ledge jumps are VERY high. I didn't realize that in order to get to certain things like the rope swing and lower pools you have to jump off the upper ledge (about 30 feet!). Our 4 and 9 year old kids were not having any part of that but luckily our guide understood and helped us walk down a separate path so the kids could access a lower pool and play in the water a bit. Both kids did jump off a much lower ledge (about 10-15 feet) but the higher ones were out of the question plus with the swift moving water, as a parent I didnt feel good about letting them jump alone even with a life vest. My husband did all the jumps and really enjoyed it. For this adventure I would suggest strong swimmers only.
