Sweet, sweet Hawaiian bread!
"Welcoming over 200, 000 visitors from near and far every year, our bake shop is the most visited bakery in the state of Hawaiʻi. Located on Mamalahoa Highway (Route 11) in the town of Na‘alehu, midway between Kailua-Kona and Volcanoes National Park, our visitor center is a must-stop! Stop At: Punalu'u Black Sand beach, Highway 11, Pahala, Island of Hawaii, HI 96777
Turtle time! Come see nesting turtles at the most famous black sand beach in the Pacific Ocean.
The beach has black sand made of basalt and created by lava flowing into the ocean which explodes as it reaches the ocean and cools.
Strong riptides and a dangerous shore break are for brave snorkelers only. We will not be swimming or snorkeling while on tour but we'll be able to spot turtles making their way to the beach or heading back out to sea!

Stop At: Volcano Winery, 35 Pii Mauna Drive, Volcano, Island of Hawaii, HI 96785
Enjoy a gourmet picnic lunch at this incredible property in Volcano Village, Hawaii! This is the southernmost winery in the U.S. and produces some really unique fruity wines. In the back of the property, walk in the garden and enjoy the rows of growing tea. In the tasting room, sample wine, tea or hot chocolate. This beautiful property is the perfect place to relax before we head to the volcano!

Stop At: Volcano National Park, Hawaii Volcanoes National Park, Island of Hawaii, HI
For many, Hawaii Volcanoes National Park is the highlight of the tour. Visit the rim of Halemaumau Crater, explore the visitor center and stroll the ancient lava trails with our guides. Kilauea erupted violently in the spring of 2018 causing 80, 000 earthquakes through the summer. One hundred days of underground and fissure eruptions, make this the most exciting attraction on Hawaii Island.
"Hawaii Volcanoes National Park is on Hawaii Island (the Big Island). At its heart are the Kīlauea and Mauna Loa active volcanoes. The Crater Rim Drive passes steam vents and the Jaggar Museum, which features volcanology exhibits and a viewpoint overlooking Halema'uma'u Crater. Thick ferns mark the entrance to the Thurston Lava Tube (Nāhuku). The Chain of Craters Road weaves over lava. Trails crisscross the park."

The Volcano tour was an amazing way to experience the island. Our guide was so knowledgeable and shared numerous and humorous stories! He made the day extra fun and entertaining. We loved everything, but the highlight was our hike to Kilauea Volcano in the dark. Highly suggest you book this tour early in your vacation because it will give you a great feel for the Big Island before you venture out on your own. Our guide Keoni was terrific. He gave us the whole history of Captain Cook, he pointed out interesting flora and the less interesting fauna (mongoose). He did stop and show us two rare Nene geese at a distance and give us the history of their near extinction and comeback. The breakfast yoghurt and the lunchtime meal were yummy. The stop at the bakery took longer than necessary due to long lines and I would suggest that the tour order ahead to get a basic Malasada or the Lili glazed maladada for each participant and skip the bakery lineup. The stops were beautiful and he gave us great information all along the way, as well as local legends and how to avoid offending the goddess Pele. I would do this tour again because it was nice having someone else do the driving for the full day tour. I highly recommend!!!!We took the Big Island Circle tour. Our guide's name was Thea. We took the Big Island Circle tour. Our guide's name was Thea. The tour was very nice, we got to see some of the island's highlights, with none of the worry of fighting traffic or getting lost. The meals were simple and filling and quite tasty and they easily accommodated dietary restrictions. What really made the tour was our guide, Thea! She is lovely, warm, solicitous, knowledgeable and extremely helpful. She regaled us with island lore and trivia tidbits without lecturing or being pretentious. She also pointed out other island areas of interest we should look into during our stay. She was fun and entertaining and really wanted us to have a great time, for which we are grateful. I highly recommend this tour.
