We did the 3 day 2 night Sacred Valley tour, short Inca trail, and Machu Picchu along with a 1 day tour of Lake Humantay. Our guides were Armando (Sacred Valley / Inca Trail / Machu Picchu) and Junior (Lake Humantay). Both guides were first class, extremely knowledgeable about local history and cultures, and amazing representatives of Peru. We had an excellent experience and highly recommend using Sam Travel. As a note, Sam Travel does a great job of leaving early so that we could arrive at remarkable places before the crowds.Great introduction to Incan culture and history with my guide Jorge. Absolutely incredible experience doing the 2 day Sacred Valley and Machu Picchu Tour! For Sacred Valley there were only 4 of us in the group and only the 2 of us for Machu Picchu so we essentially got a private tour, which was an awesome bonus. Liz, our guide, was fantastic - she is a local and you can tell how much she cares about and loves this region! We so appreciated her enthusiasm and knowledge! Since it was just us for Machu Picchu, we also took Liz’s advice and went later in the morning after the fog had cleared and we are so glad that we did because the views were incredible! Everything was so well planned and managed and went super smoothly. I highly recommend SAM Travel! Best tour of my entire month-long trip!Totally worth the experience! Sam travel met all our expectations. From pick up at airport to briefing us at hotel the night before our sacred valley tour and one day hike to Machu Picchu. JP our guide was indispensable. His knowledge of the Incas, animals and flora was remarkable. Our group split on day two and Sam travel made sure to have another guide to go with second group who took the bus up to Machu Picchu. Rudy was extremely helpful in getting one in our group up there many flights of stairs. This is no easy climb for elderly people. They coordinated to have us all meet for a photo op stop the citadel. JP then brought us back on day 3 for an early tour. Although we would have rather sleep in, it was excellent as it was very uncrowded. They took care of us all the way to the airport. We invited JP to dine with us several times. It was delightful and he answered our questions about everything. He speaks excellent English and make you feel very comfortable in a strange and different country as no one in our group spoke Spanish. Thank JP and Sam Travel for making this a trip of a lifetime
