The salt cathedral is an incredible place and it’s for sure worth a visit. Be prepared to do a lot of walking inside and outside of the mine

This was the perfect tour/day to close our trip in Bogota! Jose was our tour guide and driver (with perfect English), and the best company for our day trip to the salt cathedral! The salt cathedral is really amazing, and has also excellent handcrafted items made of salt! We stayed 3 hours there and then went to enjoy a delicious Colombian lunch at Brasas del Llano! We enjoyed amazing food (meat cooked on fire!), love music, warm people and of course Jose’s company! Actually, Jose went beyond and above, as we asked him to do a detour for us and return back to the salt cathedral. We enjoyed his warm heart, knowledge about Colombia and of course our amazing discussions! Also, we even had the change to speak with the owner of the company over the phone who wanted to ask us about the tour and trip! Gracias!!!

I can not say enough about Jorge and Mau. They both are very, very attentive, knowledgeable, generous, patient, passionate, fun gentleman. Jorge went above and beyond to accommodate us. My husband was having problems walking and he made sure to give us time to rest and take it at our own pace. We did a tour around bogota city, covered all the important sites in one long day but did not feel burdened since mai and Jorge made it do fun and informative. I recommend them 100 percent. They fit the tours to your wants and interest.

We had an amazing guide, Jose. He drove well, was kind, knowledgeable (great tips about getting the most out of our viewing), and took very good care of us. He had great stories that were informative and funny. We just wanted a quick trip to the Salt Cathedral and back to Bogota without extra stops. This was perfect!

Fabio was our tour guide and Jorge was our driver. They made the day so special! I can’t say enough about this place. Fabio was so knowledgeable about everything in the cathedral and the ride there he offered so many interesting insights into Colombia. The cathedral is called the 1st wonder of Colombia for a reason. It is stunning!!! I was so blown away by this place. Truly magnificent. We got picked up at 8 am and they were right on time. We arrived at 9:15 am on a Thursday and basically had the whole place to ourselves. I’m glad we went early. After the cathedral we had a lovely walk around Zipaquira and lunch at really cool spot called Barssas Del Llano with love music and eclectic decor. The whole day was fantastic and I would request Fabio and Jorge for sure!

Really enjoyed the tour. Our driver/guide was great. Very friendly and helpful. The Catedral de Sal is a man made wonder. Strange and surreal but also interesting and amazing. The town is beautiful and the lunch was amazing (though and extra cost of about $30 US for two. Absolutely recommend this. In Colombia private tours are worth the money.

This was the biggest rip off. Basically it was a driver who took us to the Salt Cathedral and brought us back. He did not talk to us AT ALL about any history whatsoever!!!!!. We had to keep asking and he still not know, or if he did he did not bother telling us about it. There were 4 things promised on the tour and basically only 2 things were accomplished. 2 stops at the train station and the gabriel garcia marquez house were not mentioned and we were not taken there!!! Private tour means he walked around with you... Why would I pay someone to walk around with me a tiny square? without mentioning anything about it. The only thing private was his car which he used to transport us. DO NOT - repeat do not waste your money or time on this tour. Bad introduction to Bogota and Colombia. This was the GOBOGOTA tour company.

Very beautiful trip, definitely recommend to everyone. Organization was perfect, everything was up to our expectations!

It’s not really a tour, more a transportation service. The driver drops you off at the cathedral with an audio tour, and then at the city centre for 20-30 minutes of free time, before taking you to a very touristy restaurant

My tour guide was wonderful and very knowledgeable. I learned a lot of history and got to hear about some of his experiences. I also had free time to walk around and enjoy the city before and after visiting the salt cathedral. It was worth the price. Very enjoyable and something I'll never forget!

Both the driver and tour guide are excellent. Especially the tour guide is very knowledgeable and he came back from overseas to show people how great his country is now. His efforts as a citizen really touched me

This was a truly excellent tour. I booked it the day before for Christmas day, so was a bit unsure how smoothly it might go -- but everything went exactly as planned! The company was very response to my quesions via WhatsApp, and our English-speaking guide, Mauricio, was really wonderful. We also had a great driver and a comfortable van that was able to seat our group of five. I highly recommend and would book again!

Just back from a great day out to the Salt Cathedral. Could not fault our guide, Fabio Rodriguez or our driver, Jorge Blanco. They were both super friendly and a pleasure to be around. Fabio's English and knowledge is outstanding and Jorge also always had a smile, a twinkle in his eye and adds little fun facts in Spanish, which Fabio translates. The Salt Cathedral is visually and architecturally pretty amazing but the trip also gave us some valuable information about Bogota as a whole. A massive help on our first day in the country. The trip also includes a visit to a restaurant. We are vegan and Fabio did fab job of explaining our dietary restrictions, and the restaurant easily produced something tasty for us. Overall, really pleased we chose GoBogota.

Freddy was amazing. He got us where we needed to be and was quick to pick us up when we were done in the Salt Cathedral. The place he recommended for lunch was delightful and had a special surprise.

We had a wonderful experience! Zipaquira was a cute little town. And, our driver, Freddy, took us to the best meal in Colombia at a very local, authentic place in the town where we had delicious mojarra and ajiaco soup. Speaking of our driver, Freddy was the best ever. On the way back to Bogota, we had been talking (doing my best in broken Spanish) about playing Tejo, so he took us personally to a spot and taught us how to play. He did a very good job personalizing the experience and we will not soon forget!

This was a great experience the driver was to full of life so energetic and informative. He is very helpful and kind. I will definitely book again.

It was a very exiting visit to the Salt Cathedral of Zipaquira and very much recommend if you stay 3 - 5 days in Bogotá. The driver Jorge and guide Carlos were very friendly and helpful I can only recommend them.

We were with our guide Pierre and we got to know the most beautiful places in the town of Zipaquirá, we got to know the beautiful Salt Cathedral and he explained everything to us, he knows a lot! The experience was spectacular and we had a very pleasant time.
