We had the most incredible day rafting on the Zambezi. It was so much fun and the whole team were just brilliant. It felt very safe and well organised and everyone was so friendly and knowledgeable. Cannot recommend it enough. Thanks to everyone at Shockwave's! Can't wait to return and do it again!

AMAZING FLAWLESS -I cannot say enough - from the first communication via what's app with Pilani - able to respond immediately and answer all my questions- WE BOOKED IMMEDIATELY- the pick up was on time- the staff couldn't do enough for us. Although the hike up and down was not easy - the staff was so accommodating- helping us good and down- Pilani - our captain was amazing and his staff who took over a few times was just great- the rapids were beyond what we expected, so many good memories and laughs. Our family absolutely love the complete experience- LUNCH was amazing - the views of the gorge - just no words of the beauty of the land but also the caring and attention this team had to make our experience unique- we chose right - supporting the locals- African own -local own company - HIGHLY RECOMMEND Shockwaves Adventures - Pilani and his team were amazing!

Absolutely recommend to experience exciting, fun yet safe rafting with experienced guides. Depends on the water level and season, you can do either the half stretch or full (but beware you will get very tired). You can even go into the water and free swim in the stable current segment. Lunch with delicious chicken and ice cold beer drinks included. Just note you will have to hike down and up 300m before and after.

This rafting experience was the highlight of our trip. Can’t recommend highly enough. The shockwave team are fantastic - they kept us safe and entertained throughout. They are so much fun to spend time with and know the river intimately - the rafting is exhilarating and the scenery stunning. We did a day of rafting - if we could, we would have done more. Go! Do it!

GREAT ACTIVITY — but very physically demanding lol. They picked us up at our hotel and dropped us off at the top of the canyon. We took our gear (PFD, helmet and paddle) and started to go down the hill (very steep, hard on the legs but overall not too bad, being moderately fit is more than enough). Quick security class before going in the raft and a second one once in the raft. The rapids were really fun and we got to swim in a bunch of them as well. We had brakes for sunscreen or water if we were thirsty and overall a GREAT activity to do (the view is also so beautiful). NOW, going UP the canyon back to the top — I’ve never struggled so hard, it is very physically demanding HOWEVERRR, the crew was more than amazing. They went to our pace, kept reminding us that we could take all the time we needed, as many breaks as we wanted to. They took our gear when we were too tired, they sent people from the top with cold water and sodas to boost our energy, they were extreeemely patient and caring, they really made sure we were okay and didn’t feel rushed at ALL. Mind you, I went with my father and the both of us had a pretty nasty cough — some people from our group said it was “challenging” yet they climbed pretty easily. Once you’re at the top, we had a super tasty barbecue and talked with the whole crew who were super friendly. OVERALL : would recommend to anyone I met, this was the highlight of our trip but just keep in mind that the hike up can be very demanding (I still had fun !! It just took me by surprise!).

This was SO fun. A highlight of our trip. I went with two of my girlfriends and we had the raft to ourselves. Our guides, OG and Pumba, were fantastic. The ride and views were amazing. We were initially a bit hesitant with the potential of the raft flipping, but we felt super safe and even got to swim through some rapids. This is a MUST do in Victoria Falls!

This was an excellent experience. I had a fun and thrilling time rafting (it was my first time rafting). The entire team that was with us, the group, was super professional and friendly. I felt safe all the time.

The whitewater rafting was great. JB and his crew were amazing (special shoutout to Liberty)… very safe, friendly and informative. Also incredibly patient. The climb down the gorge to put in and back up at the end is no joke. It’s a lot of climbing over rocks, steps made of branches and loose gravel. I’m in good shape and I do some hiking, but I found this very challenging, especially in water shoes. But the team was very encouraging and helpful and didn’t rush us, literally holding my hand through portions. The barbecue chicken and beer at the end of the climb were a nice payoff.

This was truly an amazing experience. I always wanted to visit, but fear always gripped, until Shockwave Adventures encouraged me. This is the best activity in vic falls. I am ready for April. Shockwave, keep up the hospitality and safety standards. i really loved this experience. imply breathtaking. Magnificent, harmonious and glamorous. Out of this world.

Joined a group for the wild water rafting. There were 4 people of staff (including a trainee) joining us on the river, so we had a great time with no worries, even when we almost dropped into the water on an unexpected drop

Not as fancy as the the other tour companies, but good value for money. Team was safety conscious and no one was left behind. was excellent fun

We loved our white water rafting experience with shock wave, the guides were great, we tackled all of the rapids really well together as a team and I felt safe, the setting is beautiful, with lots of opportunities to jump in for a bonus swim also, including a cliff jump if your game enough. We did the half day and that felt like enough for us as we had an action packed few days in the area. The walk there and back is challenging but achievable as long as you are moderately fit. The braai afterwards is worth the trek back up the hill, and the view from the top is a stunner. Highly recommend.

I have been a professional whitewater rafting guide for 23 years and I currently own a rafting company in California. I approached a number of local companies in the Zambezi area looking for an experience that would satisfy my professional expectations. I went rafting with a couple of companies. And from the beginning of the trip to the end, Shockwave provided the best experience. Here is why: The staff was friendly and professional: great English skills, great communication, great jokes. The equipment was top-notch. Everything worked as it should. The safety was industry standard. I saw no shortcuts being taken. The logistics were well planned. We never waited unnecessarily. Everything was taken care of. To start, we paddled up to the bottom of Victoria Falls for pictures. That was going above and beyond. The full day trip down to Rapid 19 provided all of the best rapids. I recommend it. The hike out at Rapid 19 was relatively easy. We were provided an excellent lunch with fresh made coleslaw and bbqed chicken. And there was more than enough food for all of the hard working staff members (that is really important for team morale). There was a full cooler of ice cold drinks waiting for us at the end,. including beer. That was priceless. Thanks, Shockwave! I will be back with friends!!

Unbelievable experience, you will not be disappointed. Our guide JB and his team were very professional and friendly. A little heads up of the extreme climb up at the end but totally worth it!

This was a crazy trip to take. I had a blast but I must say it is advisable to go white water rafting once before you do this since you are going on level 4 and 5 rapids which can be quite intimidating. The staff was very good at getting us prepared and making us feel safe but it is quite the adventure. Make sure you eat a good breakfast and are in decent shape since you have to climb down and up 700 feet before and after the trip which can be exhausting. The pictures and videos are a must to document the trip!
