It was fun, educational and after returning home I was successful in practicing what we were taught. Everything was well planned out and well executed. The lunch we made and enjoyed together was delightful. We would highly recommend this experience to our friends.

We had a wonderful cooking experience with Carolyn. We made ravioli, tortellini, and tagliatelle. We also made cicchetti (small plates) and dessert. It was a fun and informative experience that we would highly recommend!

An amazing experience!!! We loved every part of it! Carolyn was a great host and had some interesting insight, even for someone who is familiar in the kitchen. We will be sure to make these recipes again!

This was an absolutely amazing experience and we are so glad we did it. If I could go back I would do it toward the beginning of our trip because Carolyn had so many wonderful recommendations for places to eat, places to see, and things to do. A must if you are in Venice. We highly recommend and if we ever come back we will definitely do it again.

We came to Venice for our honeymoon. We both knew we wanted to do a cooking class in Italy and when we found this class thought it would be a fun activity for us. Carolyn brings you in and treats you like family. I have allergies and that wasn’t communicated to her prior to our class but she was able to quickly think on her feet and figure something out for me to eat which was so appreciated. She explained everything we were doing in such a simple and amazing way, she made sure to have printouts of everything that we made and talked about for us to take home with us. Next time we come back to Venice we will certainly be doing another class with her!

The host is a good home cook. She provided a number of good tips, the food was enjoyable and her kitchen is beautiful. However there were a number of disappointing aspects of the time spent. It is more of a demo than the advertised “Class” experience, Compared to other cooking classes we attended while on vacation in Spain the host did not invite questions from the four of us and it was a one way conversation. We were unable to truly engage with the other two guests which is normally a fun aspect. The host was rude and aggressive with us. She did not even know the correct name of her assistant. Her business skills were terribly lacking since 1) she did not advise us that recording her tips was against policy (we did not intend to post any), 2) she exceeded the posted length of the class by thirty minutes which did not respect our timetables for other events and then 3) requested photos of our tickets as we were headed out the door. Worst of all were her personal sanitary habits. We gladly washed our hands at the start and left our germy phones off the preparation surface. However, she wiped her nose with her hand numerous times and the proceeded to kneed the pasta dough we all ate except her. She also had a couching fit without covering her mouth. All of these factors and her pompous manner left a rather sour taste in our mouths.

Carolina was wonderful. She made sure to use ingredients readily available so we could re-create our dishes at home. It’s much more than a pasta cooking class. We made appetizers and dessert, and got tips on places to go and things to see. I would recommend taking this class early on your Venice trip so as to be able to use all of the information she shared.

We had a wonderful time with Carolyn. She is a gracious host. I have already made a fish we made at her home. I just miss the recipes. Carolyn was supposed To send me pdf’s and she has not as of yet

The chef went above and beyond by supplying us with the recipe’s, tips on things to do while in Venice, tips for navigating Venice, etc. Her home was amazing too. I would highly recommend this cooking experience.

This was an amazing experience, Carolyn was wonderful and made this experience so nice. I love to cook pasta but after this class I will never cook pasta the same again as Carolyn’s way was so much better. She made you feel at ease and very very welcome in her home .. we got to eat our food out on the terrace and it was so tasty and amazing, she also gave you an insight to Venetian life and local traditions which was a brilliant history lesson, I would 100% go to her class if I returned to Venice and highly recommend it to any foodies everywhere. She sent us home with all the recipes to recreate at home . Thanks for an amazing experience

Great experience with an award winning chef, whose passion for Venetian and Italian food is overflowing! The chef shares so much of hard earned experience, tips, and tricks, condensed into a fast class. Further, the chef is an environmentalist, reducing waste where possible. The recipes and cooking also are basic enough that they can actually be done at home, without specialized equipment and mostly without specialized ingredients. Sometimes the chef’s passion and expertise can be a little intimidating for guests as it may come off as a little pushy, but it’s necessary if students are to do cooking and if the dishes are to come out excellent. The chef talks very fast, so a strong understanding of English will be helpful to get as much of the teaching as possible.

The transportation is a bit difficult to understand at first in Venice. Due to this, we were late to our class and told we could not reschedule. We were also refused a refund.

Great experience; highly recommend! Carolyn is detailed patient and instructive not to mention the quality of food we prepped and tasted. You do not have to be a ‘cook’ for her class. I am not but she made me feel I could preparer the class meal at home!!
