It was amazing! Jason our guide was very knowlable and patient, he answered all out questions about the Pandas. The volunteering was very interesting and we could see them from a close distancie. We could notice the team has a lot of experience on the panda conservation. We were very lucky the day we went as it snowed some hours before we arrived so the pandas were quite active. We loved it!

We were leaded by Alvin, the most hospitality panda lover I’ve ever met. We started with cleaning panda’s house and playground, one of the funniest thing is that Panda’s poop actually smells very refreshing lol. We even had a chance to feed the panda by ourselves. This is truly the best panda experience I ever had in my life.

Panda lovers must visit Wolong Panda Base! I joined the volunteer tour alone and was guided by Sunny who is the same age as my sister. She is very friendly and I had fun chatting with her while the tour. At the panda base, I really enjoyed cleaning the giant panda’s house, feeding the panda, and seeing the adorable pandas! Especially the twins with their mother and the 1 year old pandas living together is what I was dreaming to see in my life. I love that the place was less touristy and you don’t need to squish others to see the pandas. If you are visiting Chengdu, I think Wolong panda base is the best place to visit and if you have a chance, you should join the volunteer program too. You will never get a chance to feed panda in your country I guess! Also you can get a very nice volunteer certificate after completing the program. If I had a chance to come back to Chengdu, I will definitely join this tour again. Thank you very much My Panda Tour.

I was directed to Alvin, the owner of My Panda Tour via several members of a private Facebook group dedicated to the DC pandas I’m a member of. Upon reaching out, Alvin instantly emailed back. After a few email exchanges he hand-tailored a three-day tour that including volunteering, feedings, visits with Bei Bei, Bao Bao and Tai Shan, as well as other panda related things I wanted to experience. In addition meals, as well as transportation to/from the airport were included. My guide Rita was the best. She was extremely knowledgeable in all-thing pandas, Chengdu, and Chinese culture. Incredibly cheerful she answered all my questions. Which were many and often. My driver was wonderful too. Always on time and incredible. Being so close to these magnificent creatures was beyond incredible. In addition to knowing the bases are research and breeding centers helping to repopulate the Giant Panda and get them back into the wild. From start to finish every detail was attended to, every aspect seamless. The entire experience was exceptional. I’m forever grateful to Alvin has his team. If you’re planning on visiting Chengdu to see the pandas, My Panda Tour is an absolute must.

Memorable day at the panda sanctuary. You could spend endless hours just watching them. So glad I chose the volunteering option, the experience would have been so different without it. Helping clean and feed the pandas made me feel I’m part of the family. Thumbs up to our guide Greenie, who was extremely cheerful, passionate about pandas, and spoke perfect English. After months of planning... I’m so glad I chose my panda tours...they are very professional and exceeded my expectation in every aspect... my tour guide was Kiki and was absolutely amazing ...she is so passionate about her job and pandas... I learnt so much about pandas from her... the panda base is surrounded by beautiful mountains .... the pandas are very active in winter ... saw pandas from the ages of 6 months to 20 year olds ... they are so adorable and everything I dreamt.... I did the Wolong volunteer program. It was an incredible experience in a beautiful, scenic location. In addition to having the once in a lifetime experience of feeding two pandas, there were lots of other pandas to see around the base including young pandas, a mother panda playing with her 3-month old, adult pandas, My guide for the Wolong tour was Jason. He was very knowledgeable about all things panda, easy to talk to and very kind. He went out of his way to make sure that I was having a good time and that the pace was ok given my knee issue (I had injured my knee in Chiang Mai, Thailand). Jason also took lots of pictures of me during the panda feeding and throughout the remainder of the day at the panda base so that I would have many memories of this amazing experience. Mr Lee was our driver. He did a great job also. For several months in advance of my visit to the panda base I emailed Alvin with all kinds of questions. Alvin always responded quickly and offered to make other arrangements for me which made my trip so much easier and convenient. Alvin arranged for Mr. Liee to pick me up at the airport upon my arrival in Chengdu. After I told Alvin that I had injured my knee in Chiang Mai Alvin arranged with the panda volunteer program in Wolong to allow me to decide during the panda volunteer program which activities I would participate in during the visit, depending on how my knee felt. Having that flexibility during the panda tour really helped me have a great experience despite my mobility issues. Alvin also purchased my bullet train ticket for me from Chengdu to XI'an. He also arranged for Mr Lee to take me to the train station. Mr. Lee got me to the gate, waited with me until the train came and then took my luggage down to the platform and put my suitcases on the train for me. This was exceptional service! I wouldn't have made it without Mr. Lee. If I could give My Panda Tour 10 stars for the Wolong tour and all of the other services they provided to me I would. If you are considering doing a panda tour or any other tours in Chengdu, or the rest of China, book with Alvin and My Panda Tours. You will be glad you did.

The base is so caring to the pandas and there are no words to describe being up close with these adorable creatures. I cannot wait to do this again.

I had such a great day hanging out with the pandas and with Greenie. Greenie was amazing in every way: kind, funny, knowledgeable, helpful, etc. Visiting Wolong was amazing to be out in the mountains away from the crowded busy-ness of the cities I'm usually in. Being close up to the pandas was such an amazing feeling and for the first time I appreciated them as BEARS vs. these cute cuddling funny babies. Thanks for such a great day <3

My 2nd time with this tour. This month me and my boyfriend join volunteer program at Wolong panda base. Amazing scenery with nice weather. This base has many baby pandas. About the private tour was great. Our guide is Shirley. She is very nice and helpful person. Thank you for great experience. If I have time I will join this program again. 😊👍🏻

I recently spent the day volunteering and seeing the pandas ar Wolong Panda Base. Alvin was absolutely amazing throughout the whole booking experience and answered all my many questions (and more!). On the day, I was picked up from my hotel and driven to the panda base. It was super cold up in the mountains of Wolong, so I recommend bringing layers to keep warm! Rita, our guide was great. She spoke English and helped take photos etc too! During the day, you clean the panda enclusures, make a panda cake, watch a documentary about the pandas and the highlight: you get to feed the pandas twice! You don't get that long with the pandas but I still absolutely 100% recommend it and it's so worth the expensive price tag! This was a truly unforgettable experience volunteering with the pandas and a huge thanks to Alvin and his team. If I'm ever in Chengdu again, I'll definitely be doing another Panda Tour with this company ❤

I absolutely loved everything about the Wolong Panda Base. Wolong is about two hours away from Chengdu so it is surround by beautiful mountains and less touristy. The pandas are really taken care of and the staff is very helpful. The tour itself was amazing. Greenie was my tour guide and she went above and beyond to take pictures, translate everything, make sure I was comfortable and had a good time. The whole experience was really great: taking care of the enclosure, seeing the pandas, feeding the pandas, learning more about them, and getting to make their snacks. Once in a lifetime experience!

Heather was an amazing tour guide, and MyPandaTours was a great company to work with! I am so glad we went with them. Alvin was very communicative and gave us detailed information about our itinerary. We went on a 1 day tour to Woolong, which I’d recommend since the surrounding area is so beautiful, it was an amazing experience being able to feed the pandas, and they have a panda nursery (baby pandas are a whole other level of cute!!) We took a private car to woolong which took about 2 hours and the car was very roomy and comfortable. Heather’s English was perfect, and she was so fun to be around! You could tell she loved pandas and was so knowledgeable about them. She took tons of photos of us throughout the day and shared them with us through airdrop at the end. I highly, highly recommend this company and am so grateful to have had such a lovely tour guide like Heather! Thank you!

Helped to clean up a panda's living quarters, broke up bamboos to feed the panda, and actually stood right across and fed a panda. This was so much fun and exciting. The tour guide Diana took .any pictures and videos for us for remembrance.

Fantastic, first hand experience of the panda facility. The animals were amazing. Feeding the animals and cleaning the cages was a once-in-a-lifetime experience. The guide was informative and friendly. The transportation was safe, comfortable, and convenient.
