What a special treat to spend the day exploring Douro Valley, both with our guide Rita in the motor coach traveling to the river and then the on the electric boat for snacks & drink while enjoying the views from the water. . Be sure to dress warmly! Private wine tasting. Then on to lunch with delicious food and wine pairing. What a day! Would highly recommend Rita and her team.

This tour is must do if you’re staying in Porto for a few days! Carlos was our guide. He was wonderful! Very knowledgable and made the day very entertaining. The landscape is breathtaking!

This tour of the Douro River Valley is absolutely fantastic! From the fabulous boat trip on a solar powered boat to tasting amazing wines and the exclusive lunch (and more great wines) at a scenic quinta (vineyard), this was most definitely the highlight of our trip to the Porto area (and we had a wonderful time throughout Porto). Our guide, Joao, was so personable and attentive to all of us, in addition to being knowledgeable about the region. If you would like to experiencing all the Douro River Valley has to offer and only have one day to do so, please take this tour. We are so glad we did!

A lovely day in the douro valley with a very put together company! The valley is lovely, the drive was comfortable and the group was small enough to make friends with the other participants. Lunch was very nice and we couldn´t have possibly eaten any more!

Leonardo was the best part of this story. He expertly and warmly led our group that, thanks to his efforts, quickly went from strangers to friends. From him and those at the wineries and boat tour, I learned much about the region, it's history and winemaking. This trip exceeded my expectations. Leonardo went above and beyond!!

A great tour blessed by perfect weather. We were part of a nice small group and our guide, Rita, was fantastic- super knowledgeable, engaging, and lots of fun. The vineyards we visited and the boat ride we took had great product and gracious hosts. Learned a lot and were treated to fine wine, food, and company. Thank you.

The tour was with BL Heritage Tours and was excellent. The first visit was to a small vineyard which was both good and interesting. We were given a guided tour and explanations by a member of staff and then joined by the chief winemaker. This was followed by a 1 hour boat trip and then lunch at a second vineyard. The guide (Joe?!) was great.

Leo was our guide and made the experience a memorable one. Great knowledge,personable and genuine. Whole experience never to be forgotten.

Absolutely marvellous day out. Well organised and seamless in it construction. The Driver/Guide was "second to none" regarding his knowledge of the area country and the wine regions. The food was amazing and the travel comfortable and clean.

Our tour guide, Joam was amazing and so knowledgeable, even though it was only his second day! He made sure everything felt special and everyone felt taken care of. The most memorable part of the trip, followed closely by the boat ride, was the home cooked lunch. This was a great opportunity to eat traditional Portuguese food and get to know everyone in our small group. This tour was so carefully planned and the attention to detail was extremely impressive.

Absolutely dynamite tour; I cannot say enough good things about it. I will specifically mention the dinner - four courses, three wines, restaurant standard.

We had a great time on this tour! Carlos was an excellent host and shared his wealth of knowledge about the Douro valley. The 2 wineries, viewpoints and boat tour were all beautiful and the food served at each spot was delicious. Would highly recommend this trip to anyone looking to explore the valley!

Our Guide, Carlos was outstanding . . . knowledgeable, personable and very entertaining. The vineyard visits and wine tastings were informative and at a level well matched to the audience. Especially outstanding was the meal at Quinta do Monte Travesso - 4 courses freshly prepared and served right from the estate kitchen.

The trip was amazing. From the boat excursion on the Duoro to the two wineries selected it was all fabulous and delicious. We hope to return some day to enjoy it again.

Everything was so well- thought out, perfectly timed so we didn't feel rushed, comfortable, and informative to boot! I loved that our boat ride was our last stop as it was the best way to end our day. Our guide Leonardo was the best guide you could have asked for.

Leonardo was a wonderful driver and guide - charming, knowledgeable, and engaged. Everyone on the tour from our vineyard hosts to our boat driver and guide were so welcoming and professional. We enjoyed the wine tastings, learning about some of the history behind the vineyards, and a delicious lunch with wine pairings. The countryside is breathtaking. Highly recommend.

Carlos was our tour guide who is very friendly, informative, and fun. Everything was wonderful from the beautiful drive, wineries, lunch, and scenic boat ride. We aren’t big Port wine drinkers and these wineries had lots of other wines to taste. I highly recommend this excursion if you want to see the Douro valley for the day.
