Ebiking around Montepulciano was an amazing way to get off the beaten path. We visited two wineries and the staff had arranged for us to stop at a small restaurant along the way. The wine was amazing, but the lunch was really the highlight. Served at a very small local place owned by the same family for years. Tremendous meal and interaction with the owner even given the language barrier. I will say that if you are not comfortable on a bike, I'd book this tour with the guide just to help you navigate and be comfortable. The maps built on Google maps were great, but we did have to stop a few times to orient ourselves. Also know that many of the roads are gravel/dirt and you'll need to be prepared to navigate ruts and pot holes. Not hard, but you do need to pay attention. A small thing to manage for the luxury of being off the beaten path. The bikes themselves were great. Great tires for the terrain and enough power to make all the hills very comfortable.

I did the bike tour with a group of women at a girls getaway with The Debbie Travis group. It was a blast! The guys in the shop were terrific, patient with fitting the bikes to all of us, making sure we were confident and comfortable before heading out. We took lots of photo op stops and the wine experience was unbelievable! The customer service for this group is 5 STAR too. I highly recommend this if you're looking for a fun experience that's memorable!

The tour guide was in contact with me a few days before our scheduled activity. We arrived to the bike rental place and were greeted with our full bike and equipment and given instructions and a “trial class” on proper use of E-Bikes. Our guide came with us to both wineries and the scenery was just amazing. Rolling hills, small bed-and-breakfasts, wineries, mountains with endless vines… it was out of a movie set. Both of our wine tasting experiences were fenomenal. Our guide was Pierre and he was outstanding. We had a wonderful day and it was worth every penny.

The owner was simply amazing. One of the most friendly, helpful, kind individuals I have ever met. When we were a bit nervous leaving town, he got on his bike and personally guided us down from the beautiful hilltop town.

The trip was a great experience all around! The guys at the shop - Giorgio and Michael - were fantastic. The shop itself was really cool too - cool jewelry, shirts, jackets, etc. The bikes were very current models, with everything needed for the ride. No problem with battery life or power throughout the entire ride The ride - very fun, great views - a really nice way to see the countryside. Aside from one short area of roadway, the majority of the trip was on either gravel trails - as seen in the pictures - or very quiet roads (like 'no cars at all' roads) The trip utilizes your google maps GPS functionality which the guys set up for you and works great - but here is a tip - if you have a small external phone battery, bring it. My battery was almost dead by the time we returned to the shop! I would highly recommend.

Absolutely loved this tour!! My daughter and I did many tours during our 11 days in Italy, and this was one of our favorites!! We had never ridden an e-bike before, but it was really very simple. When you get to the bike shop, they go over all the information and input a map into your phone of the route to the two wineries where you have reservations for tastings. We were offered a backpack, which we later used when we purchased two bottles of dessert wine and an olive oil at the second vineyard. Then you are on your own to stop whenever you’d like to take photos along the way. In the beginning- once you are out of the streets of town- you are on a decently trafficked road with cars, but soon you turn off to a smaller road and car traffic becomes much more sparse. The first winery we visited was just a tasting, but the second winery was a family run business and we got a tour of the vineyard area, and were shown where they store the wine in oak barrels and were given a lot of information about the overall process. The e-bike “boost” mode is perfect for the hills, and the battery life is great so you don’t have to worry about conserving the power. Out of 5 full bars when we started, it had only dropped down one bar during the roughly 14-15 miles we traveled and we were fairly liberal with popping it into the higher mode anytime we came upon a hill. We got a wonderful view of the countryside at our own leisure, and a lot of great pictures of Montepulciano from a distance. All in all I would highly recommend this tour and Urban Bikery!

The bicycles were in excellent condition and well maintained, ensuring a smooth ride throughout. The team also offered great suggestions on scenic roads to explore, complete with relevant maps, which made our biking adventure even more enjoyable. We rented e bikes here - the gentleman who helped us was so helpful and kind and informative. He gave us all the inside scoops and some really great recommendations for stops. We had a really fun day ebiking around towns in the area. Would highly recommend. Also - everything is kept up well, very clean, etc. They give you backpacks, helmets, contact info for any issues or questions while en route - anything you need.

Beautiful views of the countryside, very friendly staff, fun destinations. Gravel roads were a little tricky downhill.

From booking Piergiorgio kept in touch about what the experience would be like and helping with information such as directions and where to park in Montepulciano. On arrival at the store, he couldn’t have been more helpful sorting out our map and directions for the route plus giving us a great recommendation for a lunch spot. He made sure we were set up on the bikes with saddles at the right height and explaining the E-bike motors which we hadn’t used before. The bikes were great, the motor is definitely a must to get up the steep gradients. Helmets good fit and quality, and a back pack to use to bring back those bottles of wine! Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Urban Bikery and the tour. Thank you Piergiorgio!

We had a fantastic day out on the electric bikes all around Montepulciano. Piergiorgio was so helpful and friendly and explains the route to follow, which is absolutely gorgeous with amazing scenic views. The two wineries we visited were great and we could keep in touch with the Urban Bikery team via WhatsApp the whole time. The bikes were also in great condition and very easy to ride, even for beginners.

Wow! Great experience all the way around. From Michele and Piergiorgio at the bike shop, the bikes, the Tuscan backroad scenery, the wineries and the weather, this excursion exceeded our expectations. Our group consisted of an avid mountain biker to casual riders and no one complained. Bikes were super easy to use and provided more than enough battery for the trip. Two of us even went out for more after others dropped off their bikes. If you love being outdoors and love beautiful scenery, this activity is for you. Just do it!

My wife and I decided to do this during our stay in the area. The e-bikes allowed even people like us (early 50’s and not in top physical shape) to enjoy the beauty of the Tuscan countryside while pacing ourselves, as well as to sample some of the local wines at smaller, boutique-like wineries. Piergiorgio was extremely friendly and informative and kept in touch with us during our entire trip, even re-booked one of our tastings as we were running behind. The bikes are in top shape. The terrain is quite varied and a couple of times we walked our bikes uphill for a short distance but again this because of our physical shape. The views are incredible. I would highly recommend it if you are in the area.
