The tour was just great. The guide Maria told us everyting from the recording en how to record and which famous singers / bands did there recording at this studio. You have the opportunity to sit behind the controls and do some music things. The most funny thing was the part where you get the headphones and could here the sound 360 degrees around you. Fantastic. There was room enough to ask questions and a lot of foto's to be seen from famous artists. We had a great time. I would say: GO.

We did the Windmill Recording Studio Tour with Maeve. It was by far our best experience in Dublin. It was informative and exciting and quite jaw dropping to find out the history of the studios and see the technology involved. Our guide was so enthusiastic, informative and funny. What a great tour and experience!

The visit to Lane Studios was an exceptional experience, greatly enhanced by our guide, Eve, who not only provided insightful information but also made the tour immensely engaging. Eve shared captivating stories and anecdotes about the studio, focusing particularly on iconic bands like U2 and the Rolling Stones. She revealed some of the little-known secrets behind the equipment that allows music producers to give a distinctive sound to their tracks. This hands-on approach allowed us as visitors to truly understand the magic of audio technology. Fantastic experience for music fans and tourists in general - your lovely laid back and friendly tour guide will walk you through the modern recording process and you’ll learn of some of the famous names and faces who have been through this legendary studio, plus you’ll be able to immortalise yourself on the wall at the end of the tour. Great fun.

Having been to Dublin a number of times, had never quite made it to Windmill Lane despite it being top of the list of places to visit. Despite the best effort of Storm Kathleen, landed and made it on time. So pleased as Méabh was a great host and brough the studio to life with the history and stories - both of the well known musicians/bands and the engineers. The history is literally all over the walls and nice touch to be able to sign the walls on the way out !

One of our highlights of our visit to Dublin. Our son is a musician and was very interested in visiting. It was great to see the place of some of my favorite recording artists - U2, The Corrs, The Commitments, etc.., recorded. It gave my son some insight as well. Marie was a great guide.

This was an awesome tour. We were fortunate to get one of the owners (Aiden) as our tour guide and he was full of all kinds of interesting information - from the producing/mixing process to stories about all the great bands and performers that have come through the facility. I highly recommend this tour!

A very interesting experience to learn stories about some of the world’s most famous bands and artists coming to this studio over the last four decades and how big of an impact it can have and has had on professional music careers. It was also interesting to gain an insight into and even receive first hand training on mixing music inside the studio.

The tour was wonderful and highly recommend it. You get to see the inside of a working recording studio and hear the amazing work the engineers and staff have produced over the many years. The staff were friendly and accommodating, answering every question our group had. We actually want to book another tour to ask more questions we thought about after we left. We really enjoyed this tour, a special thank you to our guide Maria who was excellent! The recording facilities at Windmill are very impressive and it was great to learn about their history, the building’s and the artists who had recorded here. Highly recommend for anyone visiting Dublin! P.S for post tour refreshments check out The Yacht 5 mins away in Ringsend. Good value Guinness, authentic local bar, no Temple Bar rip off :)

One of the more unique places to visit in Dublin, this place is well worth a visit if you have any interest in music. They really emphasise the process of the recording craft and have some great hands on experiences. Lots of familiar name Rock stars have used the services of Windmill lane. Speaking of rock stars, Meabh was our tour guide and she is pure rockstar 🎸. Very friendly and informative . A word of warning, google maps brought us to the old studio building which is no longer a recording studio.

This was my second time on the Windmill Lane tour - it’s that good! I was there in 2022 and had to take my partner back. The musical history in the building is phenomenal and the tour has the perfect balance of interactive, digital and guided elements. Maria was an excellent guide, and as a pro musician herself was wonderfully authentic and full of knowledge. We did this as a gorgeous day of Dubs-in-Dublin - locals need to go here, as well as visitors. Superb!

Absolutely great. If you're a music fan, a 'must do'. Brilliant guide Maria, so many stories about so many legends. My son sat at the same piano as Bowie and I sat in the seat that Bruce used!

It was a wonderful experience visiting the studios. You can visit the control room and recording areas guided by very nice staff (ask for Maeve!) that are very fun and knows about the history, specs, equipment and the artists have been there.
