The weather wasn't great, but we were going to get wet anyway. The team was amazing - Stefi was our guide, but we had Nacho Average guy!, as well as Tye, Spencer and Carlos. They were experienced, friendly and were great ambassadors of the great outdoors. We were to do the gentle trip, but they allowed us to to the whole thing and pay when we got back, which was great! They supply everything but towels, Very safe, even for the little ones.

River was beautiful, staff was friendly and helpful! Our guide Nacho was experienced and ensured we had a great experience! The rapids were very exciting!!! Thank you

Went on the Exciter on the Kicking Horse River. A Travel guide recommended this one for better water levels - it is well worth the drive! It was my first time rafting and a big highlight of my trip. I felt the guides were very knowledgeable and safe. They explained the mechanics of the boat which I appreciated, and overall prepped us well for a safe and fun ride. Went up to class 4 rapids so it was a great mix of excitement. We were in good hands. Couldn’t stop smiling. Thanks to the whole team!

Highly recommend! The guides are all amazing - expert at what they do and at the same time fun and friendly. I am not a good swimmer and from the booking process to getting onto the raft, they made sure I felt comfortable! We did the Whitewater Exciter and went through 15-16 rapids (Level 2-4). We went as a family of 4 and had never tried rafting before. All of us enjoyed it, and my kids LOVED it so much. The operations of gearing us up and ensuring all the safety procedures were so streamlined and ran efficiently. We appreciated that all the gear is provided (wetsuit, fleece, jacket, neoprene booties and needless to say helmut and life vest) - so no need to bring anything other than your swim suit and towel. What a nice touch also to be offered tea/coffee/hot chocolate after the rafting! We also appreciated that they took pictures! We normally do not buy pictures from these experiences, but in this case we have such nice memories and bought the pictures which were nicely captured. What a lovely way to experience this beautiful part of British Columbia!

Wild Water will always be my top pick for rafting down the kicking horse river. Your morning coffee is not needed before the trip as the “refreshing” water will give you the kick start that you need to take on the day! Our day started at the river base with a very through explanation on how to slip into the very flattering wetsuit and bright yellow jackets, followed by a short bus ride in a yellow bus (non North Americans like myself find this style of bus very fascinating) down to the river where it was time to raft! Josh was our guide for the day and he took the time to make sure we were all ready to safely raft. He is one of the senior guides on the river and was leading the group of rafts on our tour. On the river Josh took the time to get to know all of us on the boat so we didn’t feel like just another trip of the summer, making sure the trip was very memorable with his jokes and knowledge of the area. We did our trip on a warm, sunny day but it is a fantastic tour to do in any weather as you will not be dry for very long so rafting on a rainy day will never be an issue! With the river base being such a short drive from Lake Louise or Golden it is the perfect day trip to add to your itinerary in the Rocky Mountains. Don’t forget to pay that little bit extra for the photos after! Our bus driver and photographer did an amazing job and provided us with Instagram worthy photos to post. 10/10 day on the river! This was a very exhilarating trip. Everything was well organised and the staff seemed knowledgable and were very friendly. We are a couple in our 50s and the staff made sure we were fine. The trip included a grade 4 rapid which was very bumpy so I don’t think this would suit anyone with mobility issues or any water related anxiety. This was certainly not tame which is a criticism I saw in review of some other white water rafting trips.

I planned the exciter rafting trip for our group of seven adults. Simon was our guide, and we had the best time! We were in the lead boat, and we loved getting soaked, hitting all of the rapids, and we really enjoyed our time on the Kicking Horse. We had all been rafting before, but this was exciting, a great way to enjoy being in Canada and being active outdoors. All of the guides were super funny and friendly, and we had everything we needed right down to our water booties. We especially appreciated all the great shots from our photo package. Thank you all for such an amazing afternoon!

We approached this adventure with trepidation (we are both mid 60’s and the elders on this adventure) but it turned to be the highlight of our 3 week trip to Alaska and BC / Alberta. The “crew” from Jesse & Imy at base to Wynn the bus driver and our 4 guides Josh, Carlos, Kai and especially Landon our cool guide they made it a safe, fun and exhilarating experience we will never forget. We really enjoyed the relaxed banter from the guides but at the same time their attention to detail and safely was excellent. The ride itself was a real buzz and the photos were great - well done Wynn! We are sorry we did not rent the GoPro as well. The only negative was the very one-sided waiver we had to sign but I guess this is par for the course. Overall an experience for the ages- thanks to all at Wild Water Adventures. This was a really fun adventure for grandparents, parent, and child. We all had a great time riding the rapids. Our leader, Andrew, was humorous and very entertaining. We received good instructions before we began our trip.

My family (2 parents in late 50s with kids 19 and 21) have done a handful of 1/2 day rafting trips on our vacations to various places and Wild Water is the best outfitter we've gone with. We did the Exciter trip. The whole process was seamlessly well organized and professional. I really appreciated that they provided wetsuits (we've frozen our butts off with other rafting companies who don't), and the bus ride to/from the river was quick. So we were comfortable all day. The guides are very entertaining and their great attitudes and humor made the whole day fun. Our particular guide was Tye and we really enjoyed spending the morning with him. The river is beautiful and rapids were fun. I would say the rapids were maybe a bit more tame than similarly-classed runs we've done before (although I am no expert on rapids classification), but still a lot of fun. We would definitely go with this outfitter again again, probably the all-day Maximum Horsepower, if we are lucky enough to go back to this area of Canada.

Amazing experience. We did the 2 hour experience and for us it was the perfect amount of time given the amount of things to do and see in the Rockies. Simone was our tour guide and he was fantastic. Couldn’t have been happier with our experience with him. Very knowledgeable not only with rafting but explaining each part of the river and surroundings as we rafted. Chuffed to have had such a great guide. Thanks Simone! Hopefully Josh buys you a beer with the positive feedback, you deserve it!

Excellent time! went with my sons ages 21,22. We had a blast. It was a cool day with temps in the 60sF . They had all the correct equipment for us. Our safety was the team's priority and that was very obvious. A fun team, and very professional. Would not hesitate to go rafting again with them when we are back in the area! Highly recommend this thrilling adventure!

We had an amazing time doing the half day rafting tour. Our guide Josh was fantastic & had a great sense of humour. The whole team were brilliant & we truly had a wonderful day. This was such an amazing trip. Carlos was our guide and he was so informative and made everyone feel comfortable and welcomed. The exciter was the rapids we chose to go down and it was the highlight of our trip to BC! Especially because of our amazing guide Carlos.

Rocky was the best guide ever! Ask if you can have him as your guide! He is super nice and very helpful and did an excellent job! Spencer was also very friendly and helpful. This was the highlight of our family trip to the Banff area- 3 college age sons, my husband and I. The scenery was stunning! Perfect mix of adventure, physical activity, nature. We all loved it! An absolute blast of an experience, enhanced by the expertise of our dashing renaissance man paddle captain, Tye. The breathtakingly scenic raft route was punctuated by his witty zingers and descriptions of the creatively named rapids and historical landmarks. A great way to give your feet a break from hiking while immersing yourself in the Canadian outdoors, and a can’t miss experience if you’re around Lake Louise.

My friends and I loved every minute of our experience with Tye and the rest of the guides! We had fun getting soaked by the rapids!
