Unfortunately we were never able to go on this tour, despite booking it a month in advance and paying full price. Viator gave me multiple confirmation emails about a time and place to meet and a non-functioning phone number contact for Green Vacations. We were where we were supposed to be at 7:00am but the tour provider was an hour later. Viator customer service was worthless in connecting us or fixing the situation, and content that I need to pay for the tour anyways. I'm disputing it with my cc company and would never book through them again.

Great float down the river with Juan Carlos! We saw many monkeys, toucans, Jesus Christ lizards, and iguanas. And lots of other birds. This was a great way to spend the morning and Juan Carlos was a wonderful guide.

This was the best ever!!! Angelica and Hector were the best guides ever, they taught us a lot about nature in Costa Rica and the economy, how it’s changed over time, etc. We saw tons of monkeys, a sloth, lizards, iguanas, and even saw some toucans KISSING!!! Wow… it felt like a movie for real. Love it <3

Angelica, our guide was great. Very knowledgeable and worked hard keeping our raft moving. Howler monkeys were crazy loud.

Angelica and Geovanny were outstanding. We saw two types of monkeys, toucans, a crocodile, various beautiful birds, a Jesus Christ lizard (which walked on water in front of us), etc. Thank you so much!

This tour was amazing! Our guide Juan Carlos was very nice, funny and had a lot of knowledge about wildlife. It was obvious that he is as passionate about wildlife as we are. We manage to spot a lot of animals thanks to him. Giovanni, our driver, was very professional and helpful too. I highly recommend this tour, not just to spot wildlife, but to appreciate the flora and the beautiful habitat present along the river as well. The local home made snacks at the end of the tour were very nice too.

Though it was raining, we had a wonderful afternoon with Carlos who was punctual, warm, fun, informative and passionate about wildlife. We saw a few species of birds, reptiles and howler monkeys... probably would have seen more if the weather was clear but it didn't matter to us. The scenery was beautiful and we enjoyed rafting in the rain.

This was such a wonderful tour! Hector, our guide, was incredibly knowledgeable and such a kind, wonderful person. We saw monkeys, a sloth, toucans and other birds. The snacks at the farm were also very special and so delicious. This was certainly a highlight of our trip! We highly recommend this trip and company!

Great time! Saw toucans, monkeys, and lizards! Guide was fantastic and gave lots of info. River was easy to navigate and felt safe the whole time.

We booked the Wildlife safari float the evening prior as we were wanting to end our stay in La Fortuna with an activity that was not very active, yet, adventurous. Our guides Helica and Juan Carlos were funny, knowledgeable, and just overall amazing. The safari float was beautiful and peaceful. We saw tons of Howler monkeys in different spots along the river. We also saw some capuchin monkeys in one spot along the river. There were lots of birds we saw along the river as well. At the end of the safari float we stopped along the river and were served coffee, passionfruit and star fruit drinks as well as fried plantains and cassava bread. So Yummy! This was definitely a great way to end our trip to La fortuna. Definitely recommend!

We were picked up at our hotel by a van driver and our guide and driven about 20 minutes to the river ingress point. Anjelica, our wonderful guide, gave us pointers about how to hold the paddles and directed us to where to sit in the inflatable raft. Off we went! The river had a mostly gentle flow, it never got too rough, and we only had to paddle occasionally. As we floated downriver, Anjelica gave us information about the flora and fauna of the area, as well as about all the animals we were seeing. White-faced capuchin monkeys, howler monkeys, caiman alligators, iguanas, huge termite nests, all sorts of birds- we saw them all on this trip. After getting out of the boat, we had a short walk to a farm where were were served the most delicious banana bread we have ever eaten (I got the recipe from the cook!), delectable fried plantains, and a special cheese that went great with the plantains. Coffee and fresh juice was also on offer. After that, it was back to the hotel. I would love to do this tour again. It was relaxing, educational and fun. Well worth the price!

It was my favorite tour in La Fortuna. We were promptly picked up at our hotel as scheduled and driven to the boat ramp. Our guide Juan Carlos went above and beyond telling us about the area, he alsoasked us which animals we were hoping to see. We mostly wanted to see monkey, and we got to see quite a few of them along with various birds and a jesus lizard ( it walks on water)which was very cool. Seing nature from the river is quite different from being nature from trails. After the river float we had a lovely snack at a lovely farm and were driven back to our hotel. Oh, and the tour was just for me and my husband.

The tour guide Angelica was very friendly knowledgeable and fun! It was lovely floating down river and also helping to paddle occasionally! Saw Birds, Howler monkeys Snack was also good

The River Tour was absolutely fantastic! We had a very knowledgeable guide, Angelica, who told us about all the local towns as we drove to the river from our hotel. Then continued to show us lots of animals whilst we were on the river. It was incredibly peaceful, and we managed to see Howler Monkeys, White Faced Cappuccino Monkeys, Toucans, a Kingfisher, an Osprey. All whilst being told of the local community and history of Costa Rica. After the tour, we then had a beautiful juice drink and coffee with some corn bread, cheese and the best plantain I've tasted. Definitely worth the trip if you have the chance!

Our guide Juan Carlos was nice and excellent at identifying wildlife, particularly birds which was our main focus during our trip to Costa Rica. We saw a great potoo and a spectacled owl! We highly recommend a trip with him!

Amazing and relaxing experience! Our guide Juan Carlos was very knowledgeable and was a great spotter! We experienced tons of river wildlife including iguanas, turtles, and howler monkeys. My 14 and 12 year old kids enjoyed the pace. JC with Hector and driver (sorry I forgot his name) was super friendly and practiced safety first. This experience is a must do at La Fortuna with the family.

This was a great experience. The tour operators (especially Hector and Reynaldo) were very nice and attentive and also provided a lot of information about the habitat and wildlife. We saw lots of monkeys, turtles and birds (no sloths :( ). The snack with cheese, plantains and coffee/juice was a nice touch.

Hector was fun and engaging guide from the moment the tour started. He made sure the transport included info about local life and culture. On the river, his instructions were clear and he was engaging for our young kiddos. He gave clear tips for spotting wildlife and was super patient and warm with our kiddos. We saw lots of birds and some monkeys, too, and learned how to spot them in the local flora. We had a ton of fun and the snack after was heart and the coffee excellent.

Juan Carlos was a terrific guide! We spotted monkeys, turtles, a river otter, many birds and so much more. He was extremely knowledgeable about nature and the animals. Henry, the driver, ensured our travel to and from the water was safe and pleasant. Overall a wonderful experience!

Ray was super knowledgeable and was able to show us so many different animals and plants along the ride. Would definitely recommend!
