Was a lot of fun. The tastings were great and described nicely. Isabella had some really good stories to tell as well. Very entertaining.

We thoroughly enjoyed listening to Euan and his stories. He was both entertaining and knowledgeable about the whiskey. My husband is the whiskey drinker and he said he learned a lot and found his new favorite whiskey: my friend and I don’t care for whiskey so we tried a sip of each and then Euan offered to get us non whiskey drinks from the bar upstairs so we sipped on whiskey cream liqueur, which we very much enjoyed. All around very pleasant experience and we would definitely book again.

Georgia was the best! She took us through a Whiskey 101. Taught us how to appreciate the nuances of scotch and had lots of interesting tales.

Jule was an amazing guide for this tour. Great storyteller and very knowledgeable. I enjoyed trying the whiskies, learning about their different features and listening to such interesting tales!

We were a part of a Contiki group and had Angus as our host for the Whisky evening. I had never had neat whisky so it really was a baptism of fire. I felt it was a really nice environment to try different whisky but also had a bar upstairs if you needed a chaser. I really enjoyed the stories told and felt there was enough time to taste and enjoy the whisky but also talk amongst friends and ask questions.

We had a lovely evening! Our host and Georgia was an engaging storyteller and an excellent guide to our whiskey tasting experience.

Very interesting and entertaining tour. Luca is a great storyteller, and the whisky den is cozy and comfortable. We got to taste 4 distinct and excellent samples while learning about the history and folklore around them, We were all pleased with the tour.

We wanted to do a whisky tasting while visiting Edinburgh - and this didn’t disappoint. English Ben was great, and very knowledgeable on Scottish folklore as well as his knowledge of whisky making and tasting notes. The 2 hours flew by, the stories were amusing and entertaining and would recommend to anyone.

We had English-Ben as our storyteller, and he was stellar! He was engaging and funny. He kept the crowd engaged throughout—very quick-thinking and off-the-cuff funny. He was very knowledgeable about whisky. You can tell he is passionate about his work. The whiskies were well chosen and took us through the different whisky regions. They were all different, so for those who aren’t whisky lovers already, you can find which type you’d prefer. The stories were well aligned with which whisky we were drinking. This was a fun experience. I would definitely re-do this activity. It was the best whisky tasting I did during my stay in Edinburgh.

I went with a group of friends for the whisky tasting and Alasdair was our guide. He did a phenomenal job reciting stories including great impressions, engaging anecdotes and delightful pantomiming. He was very knowledgeable of the history of whisky, Scotland, and offered a variety of recommendations for local pubs and restaurants. I highly recommend going for a tour, and if you get Alasdair, you're in great hands.
