My experience with the Free Budapest Walking Tour was absolutely fantastic—I couldn't have asked for a better introduction to this beautiful city. Rating it 5 out of 5 was a no-brainer. From the moment we started, our guide, Zsofi, exuded kindness, energy, and fun. She made sure we not only knew where to go for the rest of our trip but also understood the rich historical background behind each monument we visited. Zsofi's passion for Budapest's history and culture was evident in her every explanation, making the tour both informative and engaging. I wholeheartedly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Budapest for the first time. It's the perfect way to dive into the city's charm and history right from day one.

Rita was a fantastic guide and provided the perfect introduction to the city, with entertaining and informative explanations of the history and culture of Budapest. The length of the walking tour was just right and we thoroughly enjoyed the experience.

Gary led the tour with his dog Bella providing cuteness. We stopped at several points of interest and Gary gave us a interesting lesson on Budapest history. Great tour. Great tour leader. Great mascot! Highly recommend for first timers to Budapest especially on one of the first few days of a visit. Gary shared recommended restaurants, bars, and other places of interested which were valuable during our stay. Five Stars.

Started my trip with a walking tour. I appreciated how they split the group into two smaller groups. Charlotte, our local guide, was very passionate about sharing her country’s rich culture and history.

Judy (not the proper Hungarian spelling) was a fabulous tour guide and you don't want to miss out on her warmth, high energy, and passion for giving this tour. The walking tours usually come down to the tour guide and this one was fabulous. I'd highly recommend the tour and this fabulous tour guide.

Another wonderful walking tour. So informative. Many of the stops were key historical sites. Our Guide, Boulash, was excellent. Highly recommend.

Zsofia (Sofie) was very friendly and helpful and had a really good knowledge of the city and all the stops. Gives you a good context of the city. Definitely went to a few places we may not have come across ourselves.

Gary surpassed expectations. His commentary was so natural and seemingly unscripted. Heartfelt comments really captivated me along with his sense of humour. This is a must do to get you oriented and introduced to Budapest and Hungary.

As an orientation of the Pest side of town, this was very handy Gary our guide was very informative, make sure you tip him well. As a side comment, catch Tram #2 to get a good view of the bank.
