We were in Florida for spring break with our teenage son. The kayaking trip was a very welcome break from the crowds and parks. Our guide Sue was outstanding, and we learned a ton of area history and natural science from her. We are all seasoned paddlers and Sue adapted the trip to our skill level. We wouldn’t hesitate to take another tour with her! Thanks!!!!

Highly recommend the Wekiva river paddle! It’s just the thing if you want to escape the craziness of Orlando and experience a more natural Florida. Our guide Bill was an expert on the flora and fauna and took us on a leisurely paddle while gently pointing out interesting bits along the way. This is a do not miss alternative activity! Outstanding! We are experienced paddlers and were very impressed with the beauty and serenity of Wekiva River. There was an abundance of wildlife. My husband and I were freaking out about the alligators. Bill, our tour guide was amazing. He is so knowledgeable and calm. Bill gave us so much information during our trip. Alligators are not interested in us. We saw a lot of the sunning themselves, one actually crossed the river while we’re kayaking. After we completed our trip we had a wonderful lunch, decadent, salami and cheese and homemade cookies. There was humus and carrots if you wanted to be healthy. Definitely worth going on this adventure. Ask for Bill.

What a day!! My partner and myself had the best day with Sue. The weather was perfect, the river was gorgeous, the wild life just wow and the whole experience was perfect. Never done this before, and I'll most definitely be coming back. Sue made this experience so interesting and fun. We can't thank you enough. Also thank you for the jaffa cakes lol Xxx

Such a beautiful, tranquil way to start our time in Florida! Jimi was so knowledgeable and easy going. We were in awe of the diversity of plants and birds. A highlight was seeing a tiny, baby soft shell turtle. we came away with a deeper appreciation for an ecosystem, completely different from anything we would see at home in Wyoming.

We took a guided tour with Bill through the Wekiva River. It was a perfect start to my birthday celebration. We enjoyed the River, sun and all of Florida's creatures.

This was a great excursion! We saw at least 8 alligators and alot of other wildlife. Unfortunately didn't get to see a manatee, but that's just luck of the draw. Note that the tour says 9am-1pm, but we were on the water until at least 2pm, and it was hot! But apparently we had a headwind slowing us down. Gina was our guide and she was great. I recommend this tour for anyone who wants to experience a beautiful Florida river.

This was a fantastic day on the river. Our guide, Sue, was friendly and very knowledgeable on the nature and wildlife throughout the kayak tour. We saw several alligators and birds! It was relaxing, beautiful and peaceful on the river. Sue took lots of pictures of us and navigated us through the river. This far exceeded my expectations, it was the best day we have had while in Orlando. We will definitely be back!

I was looking for a fun activity to do with my 2 teenagers and this 5h kayak tour led by Jimi, our guide, was fantastic! We booked last minute mid-week and Adventures in Florida was able to accommodate us for the next day. It was just the 3 of us and Jimy. Punctual, well organized, very informative, fun, with a picnic break (cheese, salami, crackers, fruit, cookies). We saw turtles, alligators, birds, and a manatee a few feet from our kayaks! Christmas in July!!! The tour ends at a small marina with bar. Go for it you won’t be disappointed!

Our family had an amazing experience taking a trip down the Wakiva River with Greg and Bill. We saw manatees, aligators, and a wide variety of birds on our outing. We highly recommend them for your next outing!

Our tour guide Jimmi was very knowledgeable and friendly, and the kayaking alone was a fun and enlightening experience. I was a tad disappointed that our group did not see any alligators or manatees, but I know that is not under anybody's control. However, I'm not happy that the tour did not match the description in a few ways, which made it worth much less than an experience I would expect for $85.60 per person. One key thing is that our tour only lasted 3 hours, as we started at 9AM and we were out of our boats by 12PM. I thought there must be another walking tour portion over lunch because we were way under time, but we were simply sent home at that point. Also, lunch was NOT included in our tour, which is something I had expected because it is included in the description. If we had a full 4-hour tour and didn't have lunch, I wouldn't have minded, but given that we were done in 3 hours and still weren't provided lunch, I feel a bit ripped off.

Wonderful tour in kayak on the river in Blue Spring State park. Gina and Bill were the best guides👏☀️🙏 They knew everything about the wildlife in and around the river. We saw alligators, lots of birds and Ospreys! We are a family (2 adults and 2 children 12 and 14years) and it was perfect with a 2pers kayak. There was some current and it was tough doing it on your own. We didn’t see any manatees -it’s too hot in July🤩 Unfortunately there was another family on the tour and they were very noisy. Bill tried to tell them that the animals would be scared, but they didn’t listen to him😠

Bill and Gina are very friendly, kind and knowledgeable guides. They did well in setting expectations before we got in the water. We are guests in the nature and not the other way around. They sat a good pace across a group of people with very different level of skills in kayaking. We had a great trip and can really recommend it. In particular as a welcome breath of fresh air and quiet nature in contrast to the intensity of Orlando.

It was a long trip ( 4 hrs ). Jimmy was very helpful. He is very patient with our group. Me and my friend who never done the kayak before and at the end of the trip we knew for a little bit now. I hope that my group members didn't feel disappointed in us 😆. We saw 4 crocodiles and it was very interesting. A lot of different kinds of birds. You guys should try it. Recommended it

Jimi was a great guide -- knowledgeable and experienced. Our paddle was a bit different from the listed itinerary in that we paddled a couple hours upstream (it's not a fast current) and then had lunch before paddling back to the launch. The picnic was perfect as it wasn't too heavy but still energizing. We saw a few small alligators and one larger one up on the shore, which was quite cool. The boats were very stable so I wasn't worried and it was easy to get in and out when we started and stopped.

This was a beautiful kayak trip and seeing the manatees was definitely the highlight. The only thing I didn’t expect was to paddle up river for an hour and a half in order to float back to our original location. I had expected to float down river, which is what the description said… for four hours and shuttled back.

Amazing views (nature, animals, etc.), and Bill was an amazing tour guide (also the coolest because he brought Oreos and grapes)! In terms of tips - make sure you bring clothes that you're okay with getting wet and dirty (especially if it's your first time kayaking). I'd also recommend getting the single kayaks if it's your first time, as the two-person kayaks can be a little difficult to coordinate. Lastly, also make sure you wear lots of sunscreen - it is very very sunny! Overall highly recommended if you want to see nature in Florida that isn't just the typical amusement parks we all know and love :)
