Wonderful views of current and former volcanoes. The park guides and staff are extremely helpful. You can do a quick tour or a longer one based on your interests. We toured on our own and used an app called GuideAlong which helped us understand the park more. I’d recommend it too.

The tour is great. The guide Erik is very nice and knowledgable. The Volcanoes National Park is magnificent. It is a good way to explore the Big Island!

It was a rainy and overcast day when we went. It was also a long drive from Kona. But we had a great time. Highlight was the lava tubes.

This is the tour I was looking forward to during my trip to Hawaii, and it did not disappoint. It was a fabulous day. David, our tour guide, was great to spend the day with. I loved the stories of the Big Island that he shared with us. He was knowledgeable about the geological wonders of the island. I loved all the stops of the tour. My favorites were riding through Volcano National Park to where the lava met the ocean and walking through the lava tube. The included lunch was one of the best meals I had on the Big Island. And FYI, for a full day tour, the restroom stops came at good intervals.

Our guide was knowledgeable and took us to some great spots! Volcano National Park was the highlight of our trip!

David was an excellent guide. Funny and very knowledgeable. We completely enjoyed ourselves while learning so much about the island. The included lunch was delicious.

We recently did this experience while on a cruise as a shore excursion. It was fantastic, Albert our guide was polite, helpful and told some amusing stories. This is so worth the cost. Take a jacket as it can get cold even though its hot down in Kona

The Volcano, Black sand beach, Coffee Farm, basically the Entire tour. David was very knowledgeable, excellent host and we would definitely recommend this tour to everyone. This was the highlight of our vacation.

This was a great one day tour where we got to see the highlights of the island with David a very knowledgeable and personable guide the highlight was visiting the awe inspiring volcano and lava flows. Would highly recomnend.

This tour takes you all over the island. We stopped at a coffee farm and sampled Kona coffee. Then we went to the black sand beach. The highlight of the trip is Volcano National Park. There we saw a volcano and a giant lava tube. We went to Hilo and saw Rainbow Falls. Lunch was at a little cafe near the National park and it was good! Our guide, David, was awesome and very knowledgeable. This is an all day tour, but it was so worth it!!!

Omg, this is a must do and see. Our guide was David (he’s great) and he knew so many interesting facts about volcano geology and all the different types of lava rock, eruptions, how it makes the black sand, the ages of the volcanoes worldwide. He ran the coffee farm tour extremely well, and knew how to adjust the tour based on weather. We also had fun playing trivia games on the longer drives and he would make it interactive based on what he knew about where we were each from. Definitely do this tour with David if you can! Even though it’s a long day, we got a great feel for the island. Loved it.

The entire experience was phenomenal but it was provided an additional enhancement by our guide who provided us with endless history of Hawaii interspersed with interesting anecdotes and legends. He held our attention by quizzing us on our new found knowledge, adding corny Dad jokes to keep us laughing and engaged as we circumvented the island to engage in its highlights and peered into its steaming crater.

This was the perfect way to start my vacation! We visited everything on my to do list in one day and it made the rest of my visit even more meaningful. David guided us expertly from coffee farm, black sand beach (green turtles), Volcano National Park (Kilauea, Thurston Lava Tube, Chain of Craters, etc.), Hilo (yummy candy store), and rainbow waterfall. I learned about and experienced nature in a new way. OMG I almost forgot – my favorite meal and my first (but not last) loco moco! David gave me great recommendations along the way that were crucial to my plans for the rest of my stay. Do this tour and do it early - this is the company and David was the man – that knows how to show off the best of the Island!

We learned so much from these 2 geologists and had such a great experience last year that we joined them again for another adventure! We plan to join them again if we can!! ❤
