This was our best tour ever. Having the opportunity to visit Saint Mark's church whitout crowds it's incredible. Unique experience, staff was really friendly and the guide was awesome. We recommend it to anyone who wants to experience something different.

Seeing the Basilica at nite is special. The mosaics stand out even more in the night lighting. And having all the lights turned off for a bit and then turned on gradually is really amazing. Our guide, Iole was great. Very informative, friendly, fun.

Fantastic experience! We were fortunate to have Iole as our guide. She was very knowledgeable and made all the history come alive - my kids who are not history buffs were enthralled (that says a lot) and she always made it a point to include them! Totally recommend! Best guide we encountered and the most interesting tour of our stay in Venice.

We visited St. Mark’s on a Friday evening-small group of 20 people. Beautiful cathedral and interesting talk on the history. Wonderful way to tour without the day time crowds. Very private... a must see.

Highly recommend this tour as so very special. Very different to the day tour as it’s a very small group and the experience of sitting in the dark quietly and the lights coming on gradually to expose the spectacular ceilings is something to experience. Very special tour.

This was a fantastic tour. We also went to the regular day tour to St Marks. There was not an overlap and each covered different areas. Overall the evening tour was best but that could have been because we had such a terrific guide. Highly recommend

I've visited the Basilica in Venice numerous times but booked this tour because it offered being able to see the Basilica without lots of other people there and access to the crypt which is not usually accessible. Just being able to wander freely through the Basilica under the lit mosaics with just a few other people was amazing. The crypt visit was wonderful and very interesting. And our guide was very informative and helpful. I highly recommend this tour.

It was such a pleasure to see this beautiful Basilica is a quiet peaceful and informed manner. We had time to sit and meditate as the lights were slowly brought up and could see the altar up close.

This is the best way to see St. Mark's Basilica! You get to go slowly through the church and spend almost an hour seeing the incredible art. Our guide was fantastic and we learned so much about the church that we would never have known or appreciated. Worth every penny.

A good way to see the Basilica without the crowds. Our guide was very enthusiastic, knowledeable and funny. She was a native of Venice, and her love for her city and culture was evident. We literally did have the place to ourselves, so this tour actually delivers on that promise. I am very glad we did this tour, and I highly recommend it.

Seeing the Basilica in the evening was very special and very beautiful, the lighting made the mosaics more beautiful if that is possible. We went back in the day time to see the museum. Our tour guide was great and very informative.

This is the best tour I have ever been on! Our guide was an architect and this made the tour even more special. We had toured St. Mark's last fall during the day, but this was beyond our expectations. Seeing the Basilica at night was amazing and we felt privileged to be there. It is by far worth the price. Our third visit to Venice and our first to St Marks as we could never face the crowds. I read a blog post about this tour and thought it sounded amazing and it was. I can't recommend it highly enough if you want to see the beauty of the building and learn about its history. Our guide Andrea was superb. I would skip the gondola ride and do this tour everytime if you are on a budget.

This was our 3Rd visit to Venice. We did the Doges Palace on the first visit but always avoided ST. Marks as it just looked like wall to wall people. A blogger friend of mind recommended this ttour and although pricey it is such a treat and privilege to be able to see inside this unique building. When the guides turn the lights on to see the ceiling mosaics I was awestruck. I'm lucky enough to have travelled extensively over the years and done many tours so am not always easily wowed but I really would suggest you skip the expensive gondolas get in with the locals on the water buses and spend your money on this tour. Our guide, Andrea, was engaging and educational and I came away feeling I understood not only the basilica better but Venice in general too.

A very special visit to Saint’s Mark Basilica in a small group using headphones. An outstanding privilege to what was virtually private access to this wonderful cathedral. A special moment when the lights came up to reveal the magnificence of the mosaics. Andrea Vianello, an architect with great knowledge, explained the history and the art with clarity and showed much respect to the religious significance of the Basilica. We have been to Venice on many occasions and these events are very special. Greatly to be recommended.

I’ve been to Venice before and I visited the Basilica during the day with other hundreds people. This time I decided to take this tour to be able to proper see the splendour of this unique church and I absolutely did the right thing! It’s really unique visiting it in the evening when there is nobody, including the crypt and the famous Pala D’oro. Stunning! Our guide explained a bit of history and the facade outside and then we spent one hour inside admiring all mosaics up and down. Absolutely unmissable!

This was a life-changing experience. We enjoyed St. Mark's in a way that very few people do...alone! It was quiet, majestic, and spiritually moving, and our guide was awesome. I can't recommend this tour enough. We even got to go down to the catacombs below, which very few people were able to do.
