Our guide, Ewold was extremely knowledgeable about the history and life of Van Gogh from early childhood until his death. He kept the tour extremely interesting and detailed speaking about about the different painting strokes, styles, and variations of Van Gogh’s artwork throughout his painting years in the 2 1/2 hours we were altogether. We highly recommend this semi private tour in every way! Don’t miss it!

Our guide, Ewald was excellent. Prior welcoming correspondence indicating the exact meeting spot with a photo was sent via a text message. He was very friendly, greeted everyone appropriately and spoke clearly and concisely. Ewald was well prepared and extremely knowledgeable. .He navigated his group through the museum to avoid crowded areas and make most of our time. Most importantly, his background in art history and specifically Van Gogh was impressive, which he imparted on members of the tour. Everyone had a wonderful time and came away with a greater appreciation of the works by Van Gogh and his short life.

I am not a huge art puff nor do I visit many art museums. I really enjoyed this tour though. Our tour guide Hanneke was excellent! I really enjoyed the way she did the tour, following Van Gogh‘s life start to finish. She kept me very engaged in the whole tour. We were then able to go back after the tour completed and look at specific artworks better/longer.

Hanneke is a master storyteller who brought Van Gogh to life through fascinating historical anecdotes during our semi-private tour on May 1, 2024. Great guide, very knowledgeable and friendly. Cecilia has an art background and she did a wonderful job of weaving our group through the crowds and we were able to quickly and efficiently see the highlights of the museum and not feel at all rushed.
