Our guide, Jacobo, was very good and enthusiastic. Meeting place was clear and entry to the museum was efficient. We would highly recommend this tour.

This tour was so incredibly insightful into the life of Vincent Van Gogh. Our tour guide, Anita (1 of 2 so make sure you pair up with the correct guide), has such a vast knowledge of Van Gogh himself and his life, but was also able to answer questions about the city of Amsterdam as well! She walks you through Van Gogh's life and works and gives you such detailed explanations about each of his works. This tour is advertised as a semi private tour through his private collection. We were paired with 6 other people, so 8 all together in the group which was the perfect size. She allows you the opportunity to leave the group if you are just looking to purchase a ticket to get inside the museum itself, but I really recommend staying with her because she really enhances the already beautiful artwork. Once inside, you will see not only Van Gogh artwork, but artwork from many other famous artists. She will touch base on his works alone without going into great detail about the others, which I actually enjoyed. But, you do get to see the museum in its entirety without missing a single piece of art. The bookstore and gift shops are very inviting as well! Overall, a very great investment into your Van Gogh museum experience.

Anna was an incredible guide and you could feel her passion for Van Gogh and her enthusiasm was contagious. It was obvious she spent at least 20 years studying the master and all of his work. I learned more in this two hour tour than I would have in four years of reading every book on Van Gogh. I highly recommend it. And Anna was truly exceptional!

She narrates the story of Vincent's life with many important explanations and above all she was kind, she came on time to the meeting point and messaged me the day before. I am not a huge art buff nor do I visit many museums. I really enjoyed this tour though. Our tour guide Hanneke was excellent!! I really enjoyed how she shaped the tour around Van Goughs life from start to end and really told a story. It kept me engaged for the whole tour. We were then able to go back after the tour completed and spend more time looking at the specific artworks that we wanted to. I would definitely recommend this guide.

The Van Gogh Museum exceeded my expectations as did our tour guide, Monique. She was professional, knowledgeable, engaging, and a good manager of our group of eight people in a crowded museum. Vera de Groot of Babylon Tours could not have been a greater tour guide to us. Not only were de delayed because of a medical emergency, the guards of the Van Gogh Museum wouldn’t let us into the museum without our tour guide. Vera had stayed in touch with us via WhatsApp and came to rescue us. She patiently helped us put our stuff in our lockers and connected us with our group. She then proceeded to treat us to a very informative tour that was fused by her passion and enthusiasm for Vincent van Gogh. She told us so many interesting details about Vincent’s life that we felt as though we understood him better as a person, not only the tortured artist. Anna, ourguide was excellent. Well prepared, engaging and challenged our preconceptions about Van Gogh. It was worth every penny. She also got us portable chairs which enhanced our enjoyment for a 2.5 hr tour. We think we might even like van Gogh after Anna’s tour.
