Excellent class. Very fun going to the market prior to the class and purchasing the vegetables for the dish. Instructors were very good at explaining the process and involving the participants. It was a very fun experience! And the paella was awesome!!

An absolute must-do when visiting Valencia. Our chefs Jose, Christina and John were so passionate, friendly and knowledgeable. They take you through the Mercat de Rufassa and teach you about the produce used to make Paella. They then escort you to their kitchen where they have sangria and tapas waiting for you. You then begin to cook either traditional or seafood paella (your choice) and they take you step by step in the process, having you do everything from chop the garlic to mash the saffron to stir in the broth. The food, atmosphere and people were incredible. If I am back in Valencia in the future I will be back!

This was so well organised by the group "My First Paella". The kitchen was well set-up, the host were lively, engaging, knowledgeable and truly focused on ensuring people were having a good time. There was plenty of sangria and other drinks + tapas throughout the event to add to the atmosphere. We had three kids and they were heavily involved in both the preparation and cooking stages. Quality of the paella itself was top notch. Perhaps the best paella we had during our time in Valencia. Thanks and well done to the team.

Whole experience was well thought out. Tour guides and chefs were well prepared and very fun to be around. If you love paella (even if you don’t!) this is a great way to learn more about Valencian and Spanish culture, and eat and drink a ton!

A total blast! We loved the energy of our hosts/chefs. The program had fun, history as well as cooking instruction. Our group was well fed with beautiful tapas and sangria, prior to enjoying the main event - paella. These elements enhanced the camaraderie we felt with the group. It was a well paced and well-organized experience! Highly recommend!

We met in front of the church steps. We toured and pick up our Paella ingredients at the Ruzafa Market. The market is amazing - run by families. Then a short walk to the kitchen where we prepared and cooked our Paellas. The instructors were very personable, entertaining and ensured we all had a good time including answering any questions we might have had. I highly recommend this class!!! Great fun and food, oh and sangria!!

Really amazing experience. The instructors were very personable and made the experience a lot of fun. They explained all the ingredients at the market and went over the history of Paella. While they prepped the stations back at the cooking school they served a spread of tapas and sangria which were absolutely delicious. Cooking as a group made the day more interactive and fun as we chatted and divided up all the tasks. At the end we sat down to eat and were served cake and coffee to end the meal. I can't recommend enough, a lovely way to spend a day in Valencia!

This was a great activity - our group included family members from 12 to 73 and all enjoyed themselves! It was nice touring the market nearby and the hosts/chefs (Anna, John, and Christina?) were wonderful - personable and fun. And, it turns out we made a great paella! They offer drinks, salad, and dessert in addition to the paella so we were full and happy when we left.

Shopping at the market nearby was a nice touch. The staff running the class were pleasant and entertaining. We all took turns in preparing the ingredients and in-between the preparation there was plenty of sangria to be had. Oh, in the end, it tasted good as well.

From the friendly greeting outside the market to the final farewell post-paella, our experience with this crew embodied the communal, familial spirit of cooking paella, bringing strangers together with warmth, good food, and a touch of sangria. The three chef/instructors were lively and welcoming, the cooking space bright and clean, and the ingredients fresh and delicious. Highly recommended!

We attended the cooking class and market tour. It was fabulous, and would highly recommend this company and their chefs. They were very knowledgeable, very fun, and they kept the class somewhat under control! Sangria was flowing tapas were being consumed, and the paella was being created. They split the group of 20 into two groups which I made sure kept everyone engaged. If you didn’t stir the paella, you were chopping garlic, grading tomatoes, and prepping the beans. Made in paella in the past, I learned what I had been doing, right, and more importantly, what I had not been doing right. May have been some of the best paella I’ve ever eaten. We left there, educated, full, and very satisfied. Do this, if nothing else in Valencia

Fun, informative and relaxed. All three staff were very knowledgeable and passionate about Valencia and its traditions. The paella was authentic and delicious and there was plenty of Sangria and other Spanish beverages to enjoy. It was a great experience and good value for money. I would highly recommend it.
