The guide had a thorough understanding of history and particularly of the local history of this area, however, he was not dull and brought things to life. It was a fascinating day (despite the rain).

For me it was a private tour since there were no other travellers who booked on that day. Vito is a very knowledgeable guide and the two spots chosen for the tour are definitely worth visiting. They are very authentic and deferent from each other. I enjoyed my trip!

Vito was a world class tour guide having accommodated 61000 clients before me. When my original tour fell through he was willing to take a solo traveller on the experience of a lifetime. He guided me through the history and unique structures that make up Matera and Alberobello. Because it was the low season I had some of these historic spaces to myself. Vito is passionate about his home region of Puglia and his enthusiasm is infectious. 10/10 would recommend.

The entire tour was excellent. Vito was terrific. Not only was he knowledgeable, he was a lot of fun. I cannot recommend this tour highly enough, and I will definitely use his company again. Bari is sensational.

we appreciated the guide who was very experienced on explaining the history which we don't really interested in unfortunately . we didn't spent too much time on taking some good photo nor shopping . The guide also the driver who can drive over 130 km on a 90 km zone 🫣 . we just too nervous and stressful on this. Thanks God that we are safe home . other than that it was great to see this two towns at once on a semi private group .

This is one of the most beautiful places we have ever gone. We were lucky enough to be there during a summer festival. The white Trullis were sparkling with strings of yellow light. The people are warm and welcoming. The food amazing. The streets are full of shops with local item vs the tourist trap magnets. There are some of those, but overall so great. The thing that really stays with me is watching the look on my partner face as he 1st saw the town. He was just taking it all in. Look of pure wonder. Go.

Great way to see Matera and Alberobello if you don’t have a car! Vito was great and I would highly recommend!

I would hesitate before booking this tour. It is very rushed and the driving is unsafe (at one point we were going 90 mph in 40 mph zone). You have no “free time” in either stop. There was no dedicated time for lunch either, just a quick stop to grab a snack. Matera and Alberobello are worth seeing, but I would consider an alternative way of getting there, especially given the price of this tour.

Travelled by car from Bari to both places. It was great to be picked up and dropped off at hotel. There was a lot of driving compared to the time in towns. Both were incredibly interesting to see, and I probably could have pottered longer in both, but spare time wasn't really on the itinerary. With a good audio guide, and a car, you could do this yourself, and take as long as you want in each town. I did the other towns on my own and the train!

This is a little town of Puglian fairytale. Neatled in the Itria Valley is the capital of Trulli. Start by heading to the Rione Monte ,where the Church of Sant Antonio stands proudly at the top shaped like a trullo,of course. From the Aia Piccola discrict admire some of the most beautiful panoramic views of the city. It is under UNESCO protection from 1996 due to its trulli houses ,some of them are quite luxury. Matera ,you will never find a similar city. Also known as the Underground city and is famous for its historic center called Sassi wish has been a UNESCO world Heritage Site since 1993. Must see . Enjoy the gold history of Puglia Italy.

Amazing historical lessons in La Matera and in Alberobello about life thousands of years ago. A must do.

Vito picked us up in the morning and we went to Matera. He had a lot of good information about the city. We grabbed a bite to eat at a small shop in town and then headed to the next location. Alberobello was my favorite. It is such a cute little town, I wish we could have stayed longer, but I felt like both areas were covered well in the amount of time the tours were allotted. This tour worked great for us as we wanted to see as much as possible in the short time we were in Italy. We like to get the highlights! Nice tour! Thanks Vito!

I tried to set up a tou, sent several emails, and was answered one time and that was it... I never heard back from the guy again. So I never got to go so my review is for the lack of correspondence. He may be a great tour guide but his communication skills are lacking.

Its a secret part of Italy. Very quite, relaxing and easy to travel from Bari. Historical houses turned to daily rental, you feel that you are in 18th century:)) Cafes, restaurants, Churches and museums are great. Its worth to visit. Either overnight or a long day visit.
