All the staff were friendly! They provided all the snorkeling equipment and it was a great experience to swim with the turtles and fishes.

This was so much fun!! The crew was really nice and helpful, and they made sure less experienced people could still have a chance to get out in the water safely. We saw a bunch of turtles, dolphins, and all kinds of fish. It was so cool swimming around and taking the boat out with Diamondhead in the background. It was super chill but exciting at the same time!

The crew and captain were great. Very friendly and they know what they are doing. Safety is a big priority for them and they have several team members in the water with you to not only make sure you are okay, but to tell you about the turtles and other sea life you are seeing. The only downside is that there were at least 5-6 other tour boats at the same location. Literally 60-70 people in the water at the same time trying to see the turtles. As my husband said, "If I were a turtle I wouldn't come up with all these people swimming around". I understand that there are multiple tour groups, but it was very crowded and it was difficult to keep track of our team members so that we didn't go with the wrong group. We finally saw 1 turtle right at the end, so a bit of a disappointment.

Seeing a bunch of sea turtles. I loved being able to swim in the ocean and dive down to the bottom. I also loved how many turtles there were and how the were not scares of us.

Friendly staff. Smooth boat ride. Saw a few turtles and a lot of fish. I realized there are two types snorkeling, one is close to the shore in shallow waters. One is off shore in deeper water and you got dropped on the surface and helped and watched the staff. For me who is not a great swimmer or diver I really prefer shallow waters where I have more control, exploration, and discovery. Some boat snorkeling take you to shallow waters too. That is why I did not give this one a five star.

From the moment we showed up to the end; we had an amazing time! Thank you to Ryland, Ella and the rest of the crew that made our experience memorable! We saw so many turtles and fish, and even got to hold a sea urchin! You guys are fabulous and if we ever come back, we will see yall again!

This was our first time snorkeling (though we’ve been on other water adventures before) and while obviously the views, marine life etc were all spectacular, the thing that really stood out were the crew. Liz (the captain), Sophia, Lyla and Nate were absolutely incredible. The boat was very clean and organized. They had handy baskets for us to put all our stuff in and worked with everyone individually to get us fitted for gear. The gear was top notch - clean, well maintained and they even had prescription goggles for us! They walked us through instructions and demonstrated how to use the gear. I liked that they had inflatable life vests and showed me how to get a little bit of air in, that made me feel safer without being unable to maneuver. On the way over to the spot, some dolphins came by. Liz turned the boat so we could see them better. The dolphins rode along the bow with us for a bit. Once we got to the spot, they asked us to self identify into two groups. Group 1 for more experienced folks; group 2 for those who hadn’t snorkeled before or weren’t strong swimmers. We were very much in the second group. They put out a big floating mat next to the boat to get people started on. They sprayed our goggles with defogging liquid and walked people through the steps in the water until they were comfortable with snorkeling. Lyla was our tour guide, with Nate and Sophia accompanying on surf boards. My husband and I were really struggling. His gag reflex made the mouth breathing too hard for him and I’m scared of water so it takes me a really long time to get comfortable. We were considering just hanging out on the surf mat or the boat but Nate helped us figure things out and took us out on his surf board. He stayed with us the entire time, was so very patient and kind and did his best to make sure we had fun. He even dove down to check for turtles in the area we were in (since we were further back from the rest of the group). We saw two sea turtles when they came up for air and so many fish all around us! Liz would periodically put out some food in the water and schools of fish would swarm all around us. My husband eventually got too sea sick despite meds and had to head back to the boat. Liz took care of him. They had bags for him to throw up in and gave him a cold sprite to help settle the nausea. Eventually, we headed back to the boat and back towards shore. There was water, a cooler full of cold juice and soda cans and snacks, all complimentary. We drove past Diamond Head on the way back. They had a bathroom on board, also very clean, where we could change out of our wet clothes. Overall, the whole experience was very enjoyable and I would do it again in a heart beat. Would highly recommend Living Ocean tours!

The boat was very clean and organised. Equipment was clean and well looked after. The snacks were great. The crew….. AMAZING! The crew looked after everyone so well. Despite all levels of fitness they made sure everyone had the best experience. We saw sooo many turtles and even dolphins! It was the highlight of my trip to Hawaii! I would highly recommend this excursion to everyone! I could totally do this again and again! Thank you for an amazing 2 hours!

The captain and crew were very nice and helpful. The boat ride was great. We had very poor visibility at turtle canyon (which is not what you think it might be) the parking spot for snorkelers was basically right in front of our hotel. There were too many people and boats at the same location. My daughter got kicked in the neck, just an accident and she handled it well with laughter, but for example. We did see a couple turtles poke their head above water but were unable to see much under water. Not the tour guides fault but maybe if it’s really poor visibility I would’ve preferred to go a different time.

Fantastic crew, super helpful and friendly. The turtles were beautiful as were the fish, incredible to see them up close. As a first time snorkeller I felt a little “off” once I finished the session due to being out in the water for a full hour, on reflection I should have had a break half way through. The crew advise and offer this so take them up on it if you need to! Great snacks and drinks on board as well. Toilet on board. Very knowledgable snorkelling guide that takes you out, fantastic experience.

The whole crew was just phenomenal. The turtle excursion was great, but enhanced by a wonderful narrated educational tour of the canyon and the reef, explaining many things about the habitat that you wouldn't normally be exposed to. Our diver was exceptional and taught us how to free dive as well, and we couldn't be more pleased with the amount of time we spent in the water. Great excursion with an awesome crew. Couldn't ask for more. Thanks.

Really nice crew, super friendly and helpful. The conditions weren’t ideal due to weather and the tide and the captain made sure to let everyone know so they have a choice to go at a different more ideal time. I went and still had fun seeing the turtles and fish. Plenty of snacks and drinks were provided.

This was a pretty good snorkel trip. We did see many turtles. The tour felt a little rushed as if we were being pushed into the water as quickly as possible, no time to prepare. It would be nice to have floating belts instead of the vests. Based on the price, it was a good event.

Seeing the turtles and get to see the spinning dolphins!! All the staff were fantastic and they were so nice and attentive!
