We went to celebrate our dear friends birthday. She has a special place in her soul for turquoise. For myself, I intended to tag along for her benefit. However! What an amazing experience for the four of us!!! Nothing was left out in their presentations. Jacob was ever present and witty. Made us feel right at home and comfortable with all topics. I can assure you that your time will be well spent. Best recommendation is to order tickets for earlier in the morning to show enough time to take everything in!!! Arriving at 1:30 pm and leaving at 4 pm went way too too quick. We will be buying out turquoise from here from now on. Also the family involvement means so much to this experience. The history!!!! Precious.

Learned more about turquoise than I had in my whole life. I was able to read as much of the information as I wanted without ever feeling rushed. I also appreciated being able to speak with the owner about how turquoise is valued.

This museum is amazing. We took the self-guiding tour, which took about 1 1/2 hours. The galleries and exhibits are arranged well. There is also a gift shop. We highly recommend this excursion for an enjoyable afternoon and a fun way to learn all about turquoise.

Had been on my bucket list since you were in a strip mall and were closed. What an impressive setting and very well displayed. Good to have a lot of myths exposed. Loved your bolo, concha collection as I have small collection at home. Am spreading the word about what you are trying to do. Keep up the great work! Tom Packard and Jeanene Cathey.

If you're in the area for the first time this is a must stop to learn about turquoise. The history, the process used to create gem quality stones. ,and even tour a replica mine. Your visit can be 30 minutes to several hours at it's at your own pace. Plenty of parking adjacent to the museum for your visit.

This one of a kind family owned museum in Albuquerque is awesome. If you're a rock hound like me you don't want to miss it. Turquoise, large and small, from all over the world is on display in a unique and quirky castle surrounded by priceless antiques and chandeliers galore. This is a one of a kind experience. Be prepared to be educated about all of the different types of turquoise, who knew! So informative and the gift shop has great jewelry...turquoise of course.

Everything was beautifully organized and displayed. It was very informative, and we learned a lot. We too, can see that multiple visits will be necessary to really absorb so much information that you have provided.

We were surprised and happily overwhelmed with the total museum experience. We had no idea what to expect that would support a turquoise museum. The museum showed immense pride of the family giving its patrons such an interesting experience. We left with a Certificate of our natural turquoise earrings purchase.

Everything about the Turquoise Museum was a great experience. Folks working there are super friendly and helpful, the building itself is worth the price of admission! Love the mural on parking lot side of building. Turquoise is a beautiful and varied stone. Was great to learn about the mines in the area, types of setting and abundance of the stones was amazing. Loved every minute, time well spent and a great family passion to support.

Extensive collection and terrific educational signage. You need a couple of hours at least to work your way through. The tours are scheduled every half hour, but that's to have you watch a preliminary 'how-to-visit' video before you start your self-guided tour.

The Turquoise Museum was one of the best collections of Turquoise we've seen and the knowledge we gained was wonderful. The museum isn't located in the best area of town, we recommend using their parking lot if you visit rather than the public parking which is a couple blocks away to avoid the many homeless people on the streets.

If you really like turquoise and want to read a great deal about it this museum is for you. There is a lot of redundancy in it so you have to have a high interest to keep up the interest in room after room of the stone. It is beautifully laid out and chock full of information. However, there is a high degree of repetition in the exhibits - ultimately, turquoise in its most common form is a gemstone to be set in jewelry, not (as with marble) a medium for sculpture or larger artworks. As such, the exhibited stones are mostly quite small, and the displays show jewelry pieces that are fairly underwhelming to the uninitiated.

I had no idea there was so much information and misinformation about Turquoise!! Very educational, love the science room, also loved the world trade displays and information. I also had no idea that turquoise has been prized for thousands of years! A huge thank you to the family curators for their hospitality while learning about my favorite “sky gem”!! Steph Pillar

Building was architecturally incredible! Knowledge and history of turquoise represented well. The displays were informative and beautifully designed! Staff was extremely accommodating- so fun to visit this legacy of generations and meeting direct descendants of the original collector was so very special! We loved the gift shop and definitely invested in their jewelry.

It was wonderful! The gift shop owner was very kind and fun! The owner was very talkative and asked about us and where we were from. He would check in on us and ask if we had questions. The displays were designed beautifully and the use of space was ingenious. We had a wonderful time and will be back again!
