The tuna cutting experience was a culinary delight for the whole family. Even my 10 year old daughter who does not usually eat sushi enjoyed the demonstration and food. We had special cuts of tuna that are not served in restaurants…and unlimited drinks including sake (with pairing recommendations). We had a knowledgeable guide, Loc, who was able to open our eyes to the culinary experience in an extraordinary way. Highly recommended.

Is an exciting experience and the ppl are very friendly n the guide Yumi is number 1!!. The Tuna cutting was eye opening. The eat all you can is wonderful because the Tuna is so sweet n chewy!

Incredible experience, learning everything you would want to know about Tuna. Our group had a 50kg or 115lbs fresh tuna shipped to the restaurant just caught 12 hours prior jyst for our group. It was truly a once of a lifetime experience. The guides were amazing in educating us and answering questions. the chef of course was professional and a expert at his craft. Highly recommended if you want a authentic sushi, tuna, sake drinking experience.

Just had the most incredible experience in Tokyo! If you're visiting Japan, don't miss this – a behind-the-scenes look at making tuna sashimi and sushi from scratch. It's amazing, but make sure you book ahead since it depends on tuna availability. Stepping into the cozy, traditional Japanese restaurant, I could feel the excitement in the air. The chef, a true master, had a fresh tuna ready for his performance. The tuna's freshness was impressive, and the chef's knife skills were great. The chef also shared insights about sushi-making, different types of tuna (we had bluefin tuna, the most expensive one :D), and its consumption history. It was not only delicious but educational too. But the real treat? Tasting the sashimi and sushi! Each bite was a flavor explosion. I've never had anything like it. I left with a newfound respect for sushi craftsmanship.

The show was exceptionally organized and performed. The host's explanation is easy to comprehend. Her English is excellent and we learnt a lot about Tuna history and how it's becoming the symbol of Japan's sushi culture. We were served with Tabehodai and Nomihodai (All you can eat and drink) and were so full. All the tuna dishes are savoury, fresh. We're surprised how tuna dishes can be cooked in so many different way. All in all we defintely recommend the tour to anyone who love to experience Japan in a unique way.

everyting in the shpw was amazing, loc the giude was very informative and nice, the historic presentation was very helpful to connect to the show itself, and the fish was vary tasty and fresh. very recommended!

We had the best time at the tuna cutting show! I was not aware that we were gonna see the whole tuna there. Quite amazing and unforgettable experience. Would recommend it to anyone who has a love for sushi. Dai was an excellent guide!

A fabulous experience. Led by Lok and master chef Cho San (Ichiban!), this was a wonderful way of learning about tuna sashimi and sake. We thoroughly enjoyed the “tour”.

If you are a big fan of seafood, especially sushi and sashimi, you definitely should sign up for this tour. The tour starts with an introduction to the history of sushi/sashimi and how tuna came to be one of the most popular fish consumed in Japan. Then it is followed by a detailed explanation of different parts of a tuna, as the chef slices open the enormous fish. We get to learn which parts of the fish are popular - subsequently more expensive, and which parts are less popular. Each of us has our own favourites. Some of us prefer the fatty parts, some others prefer the lean parts; but we all can agree that the tuna we had was the freshest and most scrumptious fish we had ever had in our life! We were offered tuna sashimi in its purest form, which was to eat it by itself - without soy sauce or wasabi, and boy was it divinely delicious!!! And better yet, we get unlimited supply of any dishes and any cut of the fish, so we could always get a refill on our favourite bits. I have to warn you though, that there were more than 10 courses in total, so none of us actually needed to order a refill of anything. This tour also offers unlimited drinks. Our tour guides Miyuki-san and Dai-san gave us a brief explanation on how to pair different types of sake with the different parts of the fish. Liquor, beer, orange juice, etc. were also on offer, so we could freely choose what drinks to have with the food. Another nice thing was all the participants were standing around a big counter table, and even though we are from different groups, it was so much fun having a chat with other fellow participants. All in all, the tuna cutting tour is a brilliant and unique experience, and it is worth every penny. I highly highly recommend this tour while you visit Tokyo. Once you’ve had this tuna, there is no going back to having conveyor belt tuna, or convenience store tuna!

As a travel writer, I've had the pleasure of attending a variety of unique experiences that showcase the best of Japan's culinary culture, but nothing quite like this. From the welcoming address, the free-flowing drinks, and friendly guides to the informative tuna-cutting display, everything was an ideal balance of fun and educational. And the tuna? Incredible. While it was all you can eat, it was definitely more than enough. Highly reccommended!

Had an amazing experience at the Tuna Cutting Show. We got to learn about the different parts of the tuna, as well as the history of tuna in Japan. Of course we also got to see the cutting of the tuna, which was highly exciting and interesting. We tasted our way through the whole tuna, where the chef prepared different dishes utilizing the different cuts of the tuna. They all tasted amazing. I highly recommend going with an empty stomach! We could also serve ourself as much to drink as we wanted. The highlight here was tasting different kinds of sake, which were all delicious. Highly recommend attending this show.

The tuna-cutting show was terrific! First, I watched a chef cut a big tuna into every part just before me! He prepared or cooked them in various ways into various dishes. Tuna sashimi and sushi were, of course, excellent, and what surprised me most was the grilled ones with some additional ingredients. They wonderfully matched each other. This tour included all kinds of drink, including a variety of Japanese sake, which I was satisfied with. Above all, Miyuki-san, our guide, wonderfully explained all about tuna. I enjoyed it a lot and highly recommend this show.

Fantastic tour! I've lived in Japan for a while now, but I still learned so much about tuna and the preparation process that I never knew. The guide was incredibly friendly and knowledgeable. Make sure you come hungry. I think I ate my body weight in different cuts of tuna. Thankfully, there was plenty of sake included to wash it down. If you're in Tokyo, I highly recommend taking part in this tour!

プライベートな空間で見る本マグロの解体ショーは迫力満点!マグロについてのレクチャーは楽しかったしとても勉強になりました。冷凍せずに運ばれてきたフレッシュなマグロの身はふわふわでスジが全くなく感動。。さまざまな調理法でいただくマグロはどれも絶品です。お酒やソフトドリンクも飲み放題でお腹も心も満たされた2時間半でした。

こんな間近でマグロの解体ショーを見たのは初めて。 解体しながら部位を説明してくれるのも嬉しい。 解体後は、捌きたてのマグロを食べれる!希少部位のカマトロ・脳天、初めて食べたけど旨い!マグロのカマ焼きが出てきたのにはびっくり。これまた旨い!握り寿司も!その他、食べきれないほど色んなメニューが! 日本酒も飲み放題!とっても貴重な経験でした。 また行きたいです。

日本一の黒潮本鮪と書いてあるから尋ねてみた。料理のレパートリーが豊富で味も美味しい。中落ちカルビも食べれてとても嬉しい😃 特にかま焼きはジューシー〜 ライス一杯欲しかったな〜 今度にします。
