It was a wonderful experience, got to see the fjords up close and some Eagles as well. The guide / skipper was absolutely amazing, provided great knowledge and humour when needed. Highly recommended this activity.

We had such a great time on the boat, seeing Sea Eagles and other seabirds, and the views were gorgeous! The tour boat captain told the group facts about the area and made sure each side of the boat had a view of the Sea Eagles diving into the water.

Amazong experience. Super nice crew too, glad for the provided warm equipment, highly recommended. It is a must if you stay in Svolvaer.

What a wonderful experience to joint this tour. Captain is knowledgeable and told us all about the white tail eagles, the stories about little island, and the cabins located in Canyon. Most impressive thing is the boat crossing the floating ice and the closest view of eagles that catches fishes.

We were a bit unsure at the beginning since it felt tight and claustrophobic all crammed into the little storefront during the safety briefing/equipment fitting. Then you wait there in a super hot suit while they get everyone shuffled into board appropriately. As soon as we loaded onto the boat and got going we were so glad we went. Our tour guide was full of interesting knowledge about the geography and sea eagles (and very funny too). We got to watch so many sea eagles at each stop and there are gorgeous mountains surrounding you the entire trip. Trollfjord is a small area, but lovely nonetheless. If you have bad knees, you will probably find the seats in the RIB boat very hard to navigate (you straddle them). I'm short so bad to hoist myself up by bars before I could swing my leg over (suit is a bit restricting). Despite that sort of stuff, I'd recommend and it has been the highlight of our trip so far.

The tour was just awesome! It started with a small briefing for the day and the safety precautions. Our skipper was very friendly and had a lot of knowledge about the eagles, the Trollfjord and the harbour. The tour starts with some facts about the harbour, then some eagle spots and the Trollfjord. On our way back, we stoped again at an spot with some eagles. In total the trip was just perfect and we would do it again. We were also lucky with the weather. We had -4°C and a clear sky with no wind. You can get special clothes at the start for cold weather conditions.

Introduction before departure very comprehensive and good-humoured, with lots of useful information. The company provides full polar immersion suits (wind proof, warm, and what is needed at this time of year), goggles (also essential - big enough to fit over glasses, too), and life vests. If your boots, gloves and/or hats aren’t warm enough, these are available too. The immersion suits were useful and necessary, but they do limit movement a little whilst you’re on the boat - it’s wise to get up and move about when the RIB isn’t moving fast, just to stay flexible and to be able to take great photos. Boat was the perfect size (3-abreast - not too big to make it seem like a bus trip, and not so small that every wave makes you flinch!), and our captain settled us in quickly and reassuringly k ew his stuff. I’ve been on RIBs before, and it doesn’t take long to work out if the captain is capable or not - ours was not only highly capable, but had excellent voice projection (so we could all hear, even at the front), but also gave us exactly the information that we needed to hear, at exactly the right time. The day was perfect (even though it was mid-December). No swell, almost zero wind, no clouds in the sky, and no other boats buzzing around. Our captain took us to all of his favourite spots, and kept us entertained by throwing food to the local white-tailed sea eagles (there were many!). It’s so hard to capture it all on film, with such perfect scenery as a backdrop, but our captain was able to accommodate us all and give us a rich experience of the wild life and the wild places that Lofoten is famous for. The journey was over all too quickly, but it was a most memorable experience, and one which I highly recommend, at any time of year! Great team, great gear, great adventure.

The Guide was very funny and spoke very fluntly (english). He also gave extra informations about the area, eagles and historical backgrounds. It was very professionel: the clothes, the tour, the infos which were given, the stops we made. Would recommend it definitely ale do it again every time!

Would definitely recommend this experience to anyone visiting Lofoten! Amazing views of the Fiord from the boat while also seeing the incredible white tail sea eagles!! The skippers were very knowledgeable and professional, we had a great experience

We saw so many eagles! The whole trip was amazing, the scenery was beautiful and Trollfjord was stunning. Very professional business, would highly recommend. We were given survival suits, googles and gloves to keep us toasty warm. They have boots but told us our own would probably we warmer. We did use our own boots and our toes got a little cold towards the end of the tour but not horrible. Toe warmers would have fixed that.

This was a short but fun and meaningful experience. The weather was cold but all the clothing provided was hysterical getting so dressed up but then so practical as we explored the Trollfjord. Our guide was informative, thoughtful and was obviously aiming to provide the best experience. I would heartily recommend this experience in Svolvaer and the only thing I would say is be on time.

The trip was fantastic. The guide was so nice and enthousiatic. Hé was Telling so much on the way about the eagles. And there was enough time to stop for pictures

This really is an experience you'll never forget because it's so incredible. Our guide/skipper Lun was extremely helpful, knowledgeable, and great to chat to. Being on the RIB was exhilarating and fun to be a passenger on, plus it was great seeing the mountains and Svolvaer from a different perspective. I felt completely safe on the RIB and never once felt like it was too small. I took two mirrorless cameras with me and for those taking cameras I thought this might me useful information: Because of the way you sit in the rib, I found the best way to take large cameras was to wear a small to medium sized backpack backwards, so you can access your kit while its in front of you. Plus I used dry bags to protect them from spray. And had a neckstrap on each camera for extra security. With our skipper, Lun, throwing some bait into the water the eagles started to appear. Some of them flew 4-5M away from the boat plucking the bait out of the water with their claws. We must have stopped 7-8 times where this happened. At one point we stayed parked a few metres away from a small rocky island and the eagles didn't seem to mind us being there while we watched them eat their bait. Truly fascinating, huge and incredible creatures…… When I return to Svolvaer I’ll be booking a couple of eagle tours again with Lofoten Explorer AS.

Beautiful scenery and amazing to see the eagles flying all around us, and scooping fish out of the water with their talons.

The Captain was soo cool and friendly. We had such a great time and would love to do it again next time.

We really enjoyed the trip. Thble whole team was super nice and we had a lot of fun. We were lucky and had the chance so see many sea eagles.
