Even though the description said 24 hours you actually cannot be driving on the dessert road after 6PM. So we were picked up at 5PM from our hotel. Knocked a star because we were told it was a private transfer, but the driver brought his adult son. We had 2 large clothes suitcase bags and 2 large scuba diving bags in a sedan, so we had to put luggage in between us in the back. Also the driver went faster than I felt comfortable with....50 kph/30mph over the speed limit, but we made it with no issue. Also he was blatantly littering while driving (but apparently that is fairly normal in Egypt...)
